Wooden vase with rounded shoulder and base and eight lobed segments. Decorated with gold lacquered birds and chrysanthemums with glass ? inset at the centres of each flower. Motifs of lotus, cranes, and fish are engraved on the top of the brass cover. Two pink and off-white blossoms, one green seed pod, four green lotus leaves, and one green arrow-shaped leaf, each with a long and bumbpy stem, are inserted into holes in the covering, and fit into holes on the inside bottom of the base.

Flat circular metal piece. TLV mirror, representative of the universe, in black, plain boss handle in centre. Central semi-rounded knob is surrounded by a square, which is surrounded by eight smaller semi-rounded knobs. Circular design of archaic characters. Circular row of sunray-like pattern. Rim has swirl design around it. There are six concentric bands, four decorative and two inscriptional. The inner circle of inscriptions is framed in a square and lists the names of the twelve earthly branches, which correlate with the twelve intervals of the day, the twelve months, and the twelve zodiac animals. The outer inscriptional band begins with “Mr. Wang” and “new family” There are also three sets of T-, L-, and V-shaped marks. The reflective surface on the other side is now black from oxidation.

Square box (part b) with truncated corners and a lid (part a). Tray (part c) and food dishes (parts d-l) of various shapes inside. Decorated in red, black, and gold colours. Designs: vase, peony, and plants. Leaf and key border. Twelve pieces.

Framed rectangular panel with imagery on both sides: two birds on the wing and a flowering branch painted on one side; eighteen lohan monk figures carved in relief, painted, and applied over a painted garden scene on front. A square red lacquer tray with angled sides and a border rim edge. Interior of tray has landscape scene with two human figures and symbolic crest designs. Border rim edge has key borders. Exterior of tray has spiral and floral designs on each side. Seal on bottom reads, Made in Hsuan-te reign (1426-1435) of Ming Dynasty. (Part b is a wooden stand, in storage.)

A small rectangular wood red lacquer box (part a) with a fitted lid (part b). The top of the lid (part b) is carved with a young, and an old man in a garden under a pine tree. Symbols of peace, and geometric designs are carved in intaglio around the sides. The exterior is red, and the interior is black.
