Round, twined bowl with a rounded bottom. Linear, horizontal design bands of overlaid bear grass around the top. Two rows of parallelograms with repeated sets of three vertical lines between. Two raised overlaid horizontal rows are between these bands.

Small, twined, cylindrical basket (a) with knobbed lid (b). Flat bottom is twined at centre then alternates plaited and twined rows with 3 twined rows to edge. Straight sides are twined with 2 bands of design. The design is of diagonal black lines alternating with light brown ground and evenly spaced chevrons. The top row chevrons point right, the bottom point left. Lid is twined lid has short straight sides then slants up to knob. Bright green grass overlay row at top edge of knob. Imbedded dirt on lid, outside has darkened.

Cup-shaped basket with slightly flaring sides. Bottom has 10 rows of twining to start and the remainder alternates twining and plaiting. Sides are twined with raised parallel vertical rows of twill twined zigzags. Evenly spaced, overlaid (false embroidered) diamond shapes in 2 horizontal rows. Rim is twill twined with vertical warps exposed at top.

Sword FittingEd5.1448

Dark brown, copper alloy, elliptical fitting; formed of a strip 1.2 cm. wide. Irregularly hollowed on inside behind figures which are raised on outer surface; figures are of a larger and a small tiger and bamboo in gold. Most of the remaining surface is covered with contiguous raised circles. Inserted into one end of ellipse is a flat plug of copper, perforated longitudinally with hole shaped like an isosceles triangle with slightly rounded sides.

Basket (part a) of truncated conical shape with a knobbed lid (part b). Coiled body of basket overlaid with vertical strips of yellow, and brown reed. Mid-section of basket is divided into three by narrow bands of reed. The lid is light brown reed with dark brown reed incorporated in the knob at the top. Each end of the narrow leather handle has been pulled through top of basket and knotted on the inside. The basket contains a number of loose small white beads.

Imagery of whales, whaling canoes, and birds on sides and lid in purple, orange, red green and yellow; bands of colour trim the edges. Sides: wrapped twining. Pipe made from a length of bamboo with bands of spiral patterns emphasized with red paint. Several bands of tooled lead foil as well as two black bands separate the bands of design. There are two pieces of protruding bamboo at the closed end of the pipe, and there is a hole in the side of the pipe near that end.

Vase is decorated with pot of iris, cup, tea pot and ritual vessel all in relief. The iris is made of mother of pearl, the dark green ground is painted and unfired. Mark in raised cartouche.
