The sides of the boots are decorated with frontal images of flowers in two shades of blue sequins, with tendrils extending from them filled in with silver sequins, as are the centres of the flowers. There are also flowers on the toes of the boots. There are long loops of fabric attached to the tops of the boots at the centre front. A red stamp with Chinese characters is inside (a) near top.

The sides of the boots are decorated with large images of birds facing downwards, the birds and their details outlined in silver, and the images filled in with cream coloured sequins. A pair of boots high enough to cover the wearer’s calf, with very thick white soles curved upwards at the front. They are solidly covered with sequins that have been sewn onto the surface cloth. The foot is demarcated from the calf with red piping, and there are vertical lines of piping at the front at back. The sequins are patterned in radiating stripes on the foot portion of the boots, while above the piping there is a dragon curling towards the bottom of the boot and then facing upwards towards a red disc. The sequins are multi-coloured against a background of rich blue-green.

Curtain of pink synthetic fabric sewn to form an arch-shape with horizontal upper edge of white synthetic fabric to which seven orange-pink Chinese characters are applied with sequins. There is a layer of filmy pink synthetic fabric over this. At the centre of the curtain set are appliquéd three discs of pink silk, each with a Chinese character in black cloth. The lower edge of the arch-shaped curtain has a row of dark pink fringe. Behind the arch is a rectangular panel, and there are curved vertical panels with cotton backing attached to the sides. All are decorated with phoenixes, executed in dark pink, gold, and silver sequins.

Scene of figures done in fine brush strokes and washes of bright polychrome colours. Depicted are one child holding a stick with an orange-red feather that is being touched by another, one child holding a stick with a grey fish while another is holding his or her hands to his or her ears, and another child holding a stick with a blue crab.

Bentwood chest with lid (part b). Painted distributive designs on all four sides, split symmetry on long sides. Heavy black formlines with red and black details. Complex designs on front and back; one short side has wide curving black bands with red outlined ovoids, split u's and a round eye shape; cross-hatched details. Other short side has wide curving black bands, a red circle shape to right, red split u's, ovoids and crosshatched details. Two drilled holes at top of each long side. Box lashed at one corner; metal patch nailed with square nails at top. Lid is thick and carved from a single piece of wood; rounded edges.

Human face with a moveable eagle head mounted on a pole and connected with canvas. Four moveable slats representing the feathers of the wings attach to back of mask. Yellow ties on back.

The main decoration fills each of two opposite sides with a bilaterally symmetrical design. The other two sides each have a less elaborate abstract design formed by an ovoid with two u-forms centred on each panel, also in black and red. The side joint and bottom are nailed.
