Ceramic bell (part a) having a scalloped rim, and decorated with various animals in polychrome over glaze on blue and white circular patterned ground. Wave motifs and key borders decorate rest of bell. Handle is in form of a two headed t'ao-t'ieh figure. Bell hangs from a metal hook on a four-legged wood stand.

Wedding procession with thirty miniature figures in polychrome. The first two figures, arranged two by two, wear red tunics and carry gongs and red flags. The next eleven figures--arranged in four rows of two and one row of three--wear green tunics and play various instruments. The following eight figures--wearing blue tunics--are arranged evenly in front of and behind a sedan chair they are carrying; chair is primarily red with ornate decoration on the top and sides. The final sixteen figures wear green tunics and carry clear, spherical lanterns with red characters painted on them, mounted on long, curving poles.

Geisha doll with full length figure dressed in a robe, predominantly of gold, green, and orange. Trim is red and white. Elaborate coiffure. Her hair is adorned with gold and pink flowers and red hair accessories. Some of her hair is tied up above her head and some of it flows down the front at either sides. Her left hand is upraised while her right arm is bent at the elbow so that her right hand can hold a piece of the fabric through which her left hand is attached. Standing on a black rectangular wood base.

Rod PuppetIb291 a-c

Three-dimensional female puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with jacket and skirt (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. The figure has a white face with slit-shaped eyes positioned forward. Small, straight nose. Red dot at centre of forehead, red lips. Head bending forward. Metal cylinder at base of neck. Headdress consists of green and gold painted jamang, sumping and lungsen. Clothing consists of close-fitting jacket of black cloth on torso and green corduroy sleeves, diagonal beaded band of black and floral patterned material on chest with multicoloured glass beads, red and multicoloured floral waist band, and brown and black batik patterned skirt. Hands held flat with all fingers held together and gold paint residue. Hand at figure's left is straight, hand at figure's right curves outward slightly.

Three standing male figures carved from green-grey stone dressed in long robes and ornamental hat-like objects; one man is holding a child and one is carrying a staff and a peach. The three figures are mounted in a row on a brown stone base with incised floral designs on the front; the central figure--the one not carrying anything--stands on a raised base, making him taller than the figures flanking him. Figures are painted with black and red accents.

Dish with outward-slanting sides and raised foot ring. Decoration in dark blue on grey-green round. Interior decoration of cursory brush marks in blue that possibly represent a simplified Chinese character, and a character consisting of two squares, one above the other, scratched through the glaze; abstract designs on sides; exterior has two thin, blue bands near foot. Unglazed ring above foot reveals reddish body.
