Seated female doll dressed in an elaborate red, gold, yellow, black, and pink kimono with a floral pattern. Most of her black hair is held up in a bun at the top of her head wtih silvery dangling and curling adornments with a bit of hair loose at the sides. She is holding a book in her right hand as her left arm rests on a red and gold cushioned stool. On a black rectangular wood base.

Green silk hanging scroll depicting a large tiger (forequarters view). Colours are beige, brown and black. Bottom of scroll is attached to an ivory baton. Top of scroll is attached to a wooden scroll bar strung with patterned string for hanging.

Black and red imagery depicting seven monkeys in a pine tree; image is mounted on a silk brocade hanging scroll. Scroll is attached at the bottom to a wooden baton and at the top to a wooden strip with a checked black and white string for hanging.

Three-masted schooner on a green sea. Two main masts have four sails each with a blue flag in front and an orange-red flag at back. Two triangular sails in front of the main masts are angled and attached to the front mast. Back mast has a sail on one side. Sides are decorated with gold-coloured dots.

A boat with a dragon figurehead at the front. Dragon has an open red and gold-coloured mouth, a whisker curled back at each side, and two branches protruding upward and forward behind its gold -coloured and black painted eyes. Two masts, both of which have a four-tiered sail, however, with an orange-red flag in front and a blue flag in back.

Sumo wrestler (part a) on a wood base (part b). Tuft of black hair on top of his head. His right arm, and his right leg are both extended outward to the side. His clothing is black, white, red-brown, light blue, and gold-coloured.

Three small wood dolls which are basically white with black, and red for the facial features. The eyes are black dots and the eyebrows are black diagonal lines pointing inward and downward. The mouth is a black horizontal line. The nose is a red triangle. The largest doll (parts a-b) has a large black spot on the upper left side of its head (part b). The middle doll (parts c and d) also has a large black spot on the upper left side of its head (part d). The smallest doll (part e) is one-piece.
