Red ceramic vase with gold and multicoloured designs. Vase has a ringed base, round body and narrow neck. There are front and back panels of kissing fish with coral and wave motifs, surrounded by gourd plants and butterflies on red ground. Around the base is a blue meander border.

Pair of wide "v" shaped wooden legs with brass accents and rivets; engraved brass plates depicting grape-like plants with a bushy-tailed animal crouching beneath them are featured on one side of parts a and b. Wood legs are painted black, excepting the undersides of both parts.

Pair of lamps. Shades are octagonal shape in cross-section; white silk stretched between black lacquered ribs. Front portion has floral designs painted in gold, black, and pink on white ground.

Upper garment is red and dark blue plaid. Apron is orange and dark blue plaid, pants are dark blue. Shoes are of woven basketry. Figure used to hold a wooden stick for digging in her right hand (now missing).

Underpants are light brown with red trimming. A sword is attached to his right arm. His hair is tied up in a bun at the top. Label reads "Japan". Standing on a flat tree trunk for a base.
