Stone maul with flared proximal end and tapered handle. The distal end has been broken off. The proximal end has one chip in the flared head. The handle has a vein of quartz running through it. An 11.2 cm. long pear-shaped smooth, black stone (possibly a hammerstone). Stone is flat on one side, bulging on the opposite side. Both ends of stone are worn and show signs of use (i.E. scratches, embedded soil, etc.). Subgroup: Columbia Slough, b/w Willamette R. & Columbia R.
