Belt made of plaited grass strips sewn together, with wide beaded panel sewn on. The panel has several bright colours outlined in black in a interlocking diamond pattern on a white background. Braided black fibre ties and white beaded ties with clusters of white beads hang from the underside.

Pouch (part a) and lid (part b). Double strand twisted rope for handle. Light brown grass and two shades of darker brown sisal interwoven to give diagonal stripes and horizontal and vertical stripes in bands around the pouch. Rope attached to sides, bottom and top.

Plaited cedar bark headband with twined coils of bark around the upper rim. Bundles of cedar bark strips are attached horizontally on either side of the headband. Band is lined with white and red checkered cotton cloth. Traces of red colouring in the cedar bark.

Basketry HatA8088

Cedar bark basketry hat with a wide bottom rim and a flat top. The flat top has a small square of plaiting in the centre. Inside there is a diagonally plaited hat band. The sides of the hat are woven using double strand twining and the bottom rim has the same finishing edge as the rim at the top. The hat is orange-brown in colour.

Fragment: BagA2.500

The bag fragment is made from five pieces of sealskin with hair, sewn with sinew and folded in half. The top and side are trimmed with hairless strips of skin. Through openings left in this seam a plaited cord of sinew is strung. At the end of this cord a bone pin is attached. The bottom is open, possibly cut off from the bottom of the original bag.

The rectangular mat has three sections - a tightly woven centre decorated with stenciled diamonds and repeating X's in different shades of dyed red. The rectangular mat has three sections - the centre is tightly woven with two areas of stencil-dyed geometric designs. Both end sections have woven open-work patterns and are lined on all three edges with long fringe. The red fringe on the short edge extends out of short plaited pieces.
