Stylized composition with central ridge, higher at end with face than at end with a four digit paw or foot, and ribbed, fan-shaped tail. Head has an upside down u-shaped mouth, a small circle in oval eye on one side, and a similar eye on a tubular projection on the other side. Inscription on the bottom has a copyright symbol and '789 Levi Smith f-63748'.
Large female head, horizontally aligned with a smaller, horizontally aligned male (?) head on the opposite side. The larger head is surrounded by a parka-like hood. The facial plane slopes back and there is a hand at the top emerging from the hood and resting on her cheek. V-shaped hairline and numerous v-shaped tattoo lines from chin to below eyes. Broad nose nostrils is also tattooed. Four vertical lines on forehead. Circle in oval eyes and tongue extends from wide mouth slit. Smaller head has asymmetrical hairline, circle in oval eyes, large nose with broad nostrils, a sharply downturned mouth, and possibly a moustache. Carving marks show faintly overall. Oblong base has disc number E9-1456 inscribed. Four pieces of worn green felt on bottom.
Beluga whale with back portion raised and tapering to fluked tail. Ridge along centre of back portion. Head is u-shaped and bulges slightly at top. Mouth slit at bottom front with small eyes behind and just above mouth. Body expands out slightly behind head, with a hump just above fins on sides. Variegated green stone with a series of curving vertical stripes. 'E 9 325' inscribed on the bottom, which also has a sticker with 'CS.25.15.'
Stylized, loon-like bird with pointed beak facing up at an angle. Small round eyes and head rounds into neck. View from top show oval body tapering to back. Profile view shows flat back behind head, then sloping to tail. Mottled green stone with '36162' and a series of characters inscribed in bottom.
Part a is a loosely woven yellow cloth, with each pair of corners tied at the sides; used to hold pairs of clam shells for kaiawase (貝合わせ), a shell matching game; the cloth has black calligraphy on the outside. There are seven pairs of cream coloured clam shells (parts b-o), with matching scenes painted on gold paper glued to the insides. The gold paper has dots and geometric patterns; each shell has a horizontal greenish band across it representing a river. The first pair (pts b-c) have red and blue flowers on the upper side. The next pair (pts d-e) have a branch with flowers and two white and black birds with red breasts on the upper half. The third (pts f-g) have brown grass and red and blue flowers in the upper half. The fourth pair (pts h-i) have red and blue flower sprays in the upper half, and the gold is rubbed off in a few places. The fifth pair (pts j-k) have a fence with blue and red flowers above. The sixth (pts l-m) have a brown log-like feature. The last pair (pts n-o) have three white flowers and one red flower in the upper section. Parts b-o have polished, natural shell exteriors.
An awl of cassowary leg bone, tapering to a point, and grooved near the joint end. The joint is dark brown while the point is light yellow. The surface, except for the joint, is extremely smooth, polished through use.
Set of cylindrical gambling sticks with knobs on each end. (a) has three evenly spaced red lines around the circumference, at centre, crossed by a dark stain and three dark spots on one side. (b) has three evenly spaced thin black lines at centre and spots to one side. (c) has three evenly spaced red lines, a black line at one side and several spots at opposite end. One spot towards lines side. (d) has a black, red, then black line towards one end. (e) has three closely spaced thin black lines to one side; dark stains on this end. (f) has four red lines near centre; (g) has three black lines at centre with a black and a red shadow-like stains diagonally across centre; (h) has three faint red lines, evenly spaced at centre; (i) is stained red on one end with a black line towards centre and a shadowy black stain diagonally around centre. (j) has three red line near centre, a fourth red line near red stained end. Two white paint spots at this end. (k) has three red lines evenly spaced at centre and two black lines to one side. Stains near centre and white paint spots to one end. (l) has five spaced lines from centre, the outer two are thicker. (m) is undecorated.
Black stone blade with rounded cutting edge at wider end. One side has two recessed areas. Edges are tapered; polished finish overall.
A pipe of a very smooth light brown wood with dark grain. The long tube is symmetrically flared at both ends, which are blackened with smoke. The mouthpiece end is concave.
Dark green stone axe or adze head of nephrite. General triangular shape from rough rectangular base. One side is flat tapering at an angle to a point while the other side is curving covexely to a point, creating a straight edge. Finely worked with evidence of use.
