A bailer shell, white on the convex surface, with an irregular brown coating on the concave surface. Triangular shape with rounded corners and one corner notched. Five holes are bored near the two upper corners. Through two of these, there has been strung a double length of cheesecloth 61 cm. long. The cheesecloth is coloured with yellow clay.

Game sticks composed of nine cylindrical sticks that have a small, raised round knob at each end, and faint black and red lines on a polished surface: a) one thin black line at one end, three equidistant thin red lines at centre, black staining; b) two thin black lines at one end, three equidistant red lines at centre, light black staining; c) plain, no design; d) plain, no design; e) three thin red equidistant lines at centre, three faint, red diagonal lines equally spaced over surface; f) thick black lines at one end, three thin, equidistant black lines at centre, light black staining around one end; g) slightly off-centre, thick black line is bordered by thin red lines; h) series of lines, one thin red, one thick black, thin red, thick red, two thin red; i) thick black lines border two wide red bands.

Toggling Harpoon HeadNa1127

Ivory harpoon head with beveled edges and curving sides, flaring out at base; open rectangular socket with line hole above and thin blade slit at tapering rounded, terminal end above hole. Small enclosed slot parallel to socket on unbroken side, this side tapers to a point; opposite shorter side is broken roughly at socket. Incised curvilinear designs terminate in small deeply drilled holes. Overall appearance is mottled yellow-brown to dark brown. 'P-1827-1-d' is inscribed in black letters along socket slot.

Small flat rectangular silver plaque with bowed sides has a crouching profile eagle/human. Figure: large u shaped ear has a tapered downward extension, tip melds with body; large eye ovoid has ovoid pupil in pointed eyelid lines; curved open beak, back of lower mandible rests on body; body has a partial profile humanoid face with a large curled nostril attached to the upper lip band above large square teeth; split u forms in front of face and on lower left; bent leg next to body has a two-clawed foot; arm extension from base of u form in front of face terminates in a hand with an outward facing palm, bent elongated thumb touches shoulder, ovoid in palm, u form below. Oval, green-brown face mask with smooth, contoured front surface. Eyebrow ridge forms a heart-shape with chin. Almond-shaped eye holes are deep-set, prominent high cheek, triangular nose with triangular nostrils at a ninety degree angle to face and mouth slit between thin dark pink-red wedge-shaped lips. Interior surface is grey-green with rough adze marks. Two small holes on either side of eyes. There is fishing line tied through the top set of holes. There are six other holes along the outside margin which do not go through to the inside. Hole at top back, slightly off-centre. Wood is checked at top margin.

Carved walrus with head raised; tusks project down from jaw; mouth is indicated by downturned line on flat front with inlaid wood (or baleen?) nostrils above; inlaid eyes on either side of rounded head. Double incised ring at neck; flippers on sides and underneath are indicated by incised u-shapes. Mottled dentine between tusks. Longitudinal striations along back and head. Other carving marks all over. Entire figure is mounted on a rectangular black-green stone base.

Round, bronze bowl with dark dull patina merging to black on underside; surface rough in some places. Flat base, on 3 feet like clam shells; straight sides, rounded and flaring out near mouth with rim turned outward. Horizontal loop handles in wave-like design set below rim. Turning marks are visible on inner surface; mended break below one handle near base. On outer surface below rim is a band of leiwan pattern, enclosed by heavy bands, below which are 8 floral-appearing tao-t'ieh motifs. Mark in 3 Chinese seal characters 'Made by Song Eun'.

Bowl (a) on flat base (2.8 cm. in diameter) with ring foot. Sides are rounded near base, then straight, expanding to maximum diameter at mouth. Lid (b) is convex with sharply downturned rim and raised ring 2 cm. in diameter at centre top. Rather dull patina with dark patches and some encrustation inside bowls. Turning marks visible.

Round brass bowl on flat base 4.8 cm. in diameter with ring foot. Rounded sides expanding to mid-point, curving in slightly to mouth (8.3 cm. in diameter) with rolled rim. Turning marks are visible. Inside heavily encrusted with oil and dust ? rather dull patina with darker line at midsection.
