Two selvedges have a border of unprinted cloth with some light blue dye running onto it.

Sea OtterNb3.1373

Sea otter design with a single profile in a near ovoid shape, open at the top with the head facing the hind limbs. The head is on the left side facing to the right side. Sea otter is on its back represented by black form lines, ovoids, etc., with some red detail including u forms. A red open mouth and a snub nose formed by an ovoid. Eye is double circle outline with circle tapering to points on each side. Large double ovoid at the shoulder. Forelimbs crosses chest with a four-fingered paw above the chest. Hind limb with a four-toed paw, curves up to face the head. Other details include double ovoids before the paws, a series of negative ovoids and split u's along the backbone, and stripe-like form lines along the belly. Pencil inscription along the bottom edge reads '162/200 Sea Otter Cranmer 80.' The print is on a horizontally rectangular, light brown paper piece.

The Life of Meares IslandNb11.310

A main design consisting of a black thunderbird with a serpent on the wing at the right and a wolf on the wing at the left surmount a green mountain-like island. Whale below island. Thunder bird has profile head, facing side on the right. Two ears side by side are joined at downward curving tips. Short curved open beak. Wings outspread horizontally at sides have gradually diminishing feather pattern towards island. Island is outlined in black with one black line diverging into two. Profile serpent has a curvilinear body, a head facing to the side on the left, two ears side by side curving downwards, two lines of short dashes along the upper line of the open mouth, and a curled nose. Wolf has a head turning to face the side on the left, two lines of short dashes along the upper lip, bared teeth, four s curves and a four pointed star on the body, paws on the fore and hind legs curving backwards, and an inverted u shaped tail. Whale has a triangular blowhole, a small dorsal fin, an open mouth, a pectoral fin at the left of the eye ovoid has a cross and a grouping of three horizontal lines, and tail flukes having eyes within a series of three ovoids. Pencil inscription along the bottom edge reads '408/500 The life of Meares Island J.David '85'. The print is on a horizontally rectangular, white paper piece.

Raven has a profile head facing to the right side and a frontal body with the wings and the feet extended to the sides. Head has a large ear that has a rectangular top and an upside down red split u at the base. Black circle in circle eye is outlined by a tapering oval surrounded by an ovoid that is thick at the top and joins the lip band at the base. Open beak has a red u form design joining the to lip band. Thin pointed red tongue has two equidistant downward pointing extensions. Body has a sideways double u form at thee neck. Circular body contains a profile bird. Below this, there is an ovoid with three downward pointing feathers for the tail. U-shaped legs have claw feet. Abstract design in the ovoid at the top of the two-feathered wings that have red u forms and a black split u. Beneath claw on the right side, there is printed the artist's signature. Pemcil inscription across the bottom reads '"RAVEN" PJanze 124/200 July 76'. On the back, in the upper corner on the left side, a pencil inscription reads '20.00'. The print is on a horizontally rectangular, brown paper piece.

Black profile frog faces side on right; thick line forms top of head, jaw and lower lip band; large eye area has ovoid pupil with inverted t-shape, thick line outlines eye; bulbous nose with elongated interior ovoid; circle at jaw; open mouth, tongue has downward pointed tip and split u form on lower portion at back; one line forms upper body and foreleg, another line forms back, hips and hind leg; feet have two bent claws and interior ovoids; claws on forepaw point up and to side on right while the claws on the hind paw point down and to side on left; interior body designs composed of diamonds, ovoids and u forms. In a vertical line below hind paw an inscription reads:" N. Tait '76 Feb 266/279."
