The folded hat is black and rectangular with a rounded top piece, a back flap and embroidered motifs. The hat has a black centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are two pink peonies with green leaves and yellow swirls. These designs are repeated on the inside of both side folds and on the rounded top piece. Hanging down from the top piece on either side of the centre panel is a red streamer. On the back, the flap mimics the rounded top piece and extends down past the bottom of the folded centre panel, flaring out at the bottom. In the centre of the flap is a large pink and white peony. Surrounding the flower is a circle of gold scroll designs and pink peonies with green leaves and orange swirls. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two white ties with purple stitching are attached.

A woman's pleated full wrap-around red skirt. Gathered onto a waistband. Skirt has three horizontal rows of hand embroidered multi-coloured floral motifs consisting of white flowers that have purple centres with green, purple, and yellow leaves. Waist band trimmed with embroidered ribbon having a main design consisting of yellow and blue flowers with mint green leaves, braid, glass beads, and metal sequins. Black and gold-coloured braid attached at each end of the waist band. Lined and stiffened with starched cotton gauze.

A woman's white half-slip. Gathered at the waist by an elastic in casing. Wide band of white eyelet lacing is attached with widely spaced pleats. Lacing design from top to bottom is consisting of the following horizontal rows: holes in the formation of a zig zag, upward pointing tulip-like flowers in profile, twelve-petalled flowers within vertically elongated octagons, downward pointing tulip-like flowers in profile, and holes in the formation of a zig zag. Scalloped hemline. Tuck at hipline for lengthening.

A tall rounded royal blue cotton hat that has vertical folds all around with black edging at the base, and a red ball on top. Off-white ties, and lining.

The folded opera hat is light brown and rectangular with a rounded top piece curling down on either side. The hat has a light brown centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are pink and orange peonies with green leaves and gold swirls and a pink and orange bat. On the inside of both side folds is a red peony with green leaves and gold swirls. The rounded top piece has pink and orange peonies with green leaves and gold swirls. One curled end has a small orange flower and an attached green tassel. The other curled end has a small red flower and an attached pink tassel. The designs on the back of the hat mimic those on the front. There are pink orange and red peonies, green leaves, gold swirls. However, the small flowers on the curled ends are blue. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

The folded hat is black and square with a triangular top piece. The hat folds inwards on both sides. On the front is a large orange, blue, red and purple peony with green leaves and brown curved lines. The same design is duplicated on the triangular piece with the addition of two red peonies and a yellow border. These upper and lower designs are repeated in the folded side panels. On the back there is only the upper design. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

Black hat with thin 'L' shaped band. The top of the hat is rounded at the corners and bowed in the centre. On each side, a thin band begins at the front edge and ends at the bottom edge. The band is white with alternating green flowers and red dots. The inside of the hat is ecru lining over cardboard. There are Chinese characters stamped on the inside in blue.
