Gong is in shape of lotus flowers and leaves with stems forming the handle (a). Stick is leather sewn and stuffed (b). Cushion is red and stuffed in shape of lotus flower (c).
Man’s jacket of shiny white fabric. The jacket is waist-length and flares slightly from the top. The centre opening has inset panels on both sides that overlap when the garment is worn. The deep V neckline is edged on the outside and inside with facings. The facing has a rounded lower corner on the left side and a square corner on the right. The V neck is finished with a white narrow white cotton collar or facing. Centered on the end of the left facing is a long, wide ribbon tie made of the same fabric, with a corresponding tie sewn to the mid-point of the jacket on the right. Thin white inner ties are sewn to the inner right inner facing and the left underarm seam. There is a centre back seam. The long sleeves are set in with a straight seam and a convex curve on the lower edge, narrowing to the wrist. The inner lining is white fabric with a pattern of small squares.
Pink jacket with heart and floral pattern. The centre opening has front panels that overlap to the right when closed. The jacket has a deep V-neck edged with an outer facing. The neck is finished with a narrow facing or collar of white silk. Two long thick ties are attached to the lower left facing and to the right of the facing. Thin white inner ties are sewn to the inner right inner facing and the left underarm seam. The long sleeves are set in with a straight seam and a convex curve on the lower edge, narrowing to the wrist. The inner lining is off-white rayon with a small square pattern.
Skirt made of two unequal panels of off-white and gold brocade with an overall pattern of small flowers. The skirt panels are pleated and inserted into a wide band of unbleached cotton. The upper edge of the band is scalloped with the points of the scallops meeting the ends of two shoulder straps of the same material. The band opens at the front and the top of the front seam has been left open. The skirt is open at the back and the right panel overlaps the left. The inside is unlined.
Jacket, or blouse, made of off-white and gold brocade with an overall pattern of small flowers. Long sleeves that curve upwards at the wrists. The centre opening has front panels that overlap to the right when closed. The right side has a long, wide ribbon tie attached where the outer facing meets the front edge. The left outer facing is flush with the front edge, while the right protrudes beyond the edge. One small white tie is attached to the right inner facing with a corresponding tie on the left underarm seam. The inside lining is white rayon with a small diamond pattern.
Outer skirt made of seven panels of white ramie. The skirt panels are pleated and inserted into a band of unbleached cotton. The the upper edge of the band is scalloped, with the points of the scallops meeting the ends of two shoulder straps of the same material. The band opens at the front and the front seam is left unstitched near the top. One strap is stitched in place with black thread.
Woman’s white ramie jacket. The jacket is shorter than waist-length. It opens at the front centre, with the left side lapping over the right when closed. Panels are added to the front edge on each side to extend the overlap. The deep V-neckline is edged on the outside and inside with a facing 5.5 cm. wide, with a rounded corner on the bottom left and a square corner on the right. A short, narrow inside tie is attached to this square corner with a corresponding tie on the left underarm seam. A triangular tab is attached to the place where the facing joins the front edge and this aligns with a square tab on the right side. The lower edge of the garment curves downward to the centre front. There is a centre back seam. The sleeves are inset with a straight seam and joined with another seam between elbow and wrist. The lower edges of the sleeves have convex curves, narrowing towards the wrist. All hems are very narrow.
Red skirt. The skirt is made of three panels of shiny red damask woven with roundels enclosing a bat motif and stylized character. The skirt is open at the back and lined with red nylon mesh. The panels are pleated and inserted into a band of red shiny fabric with a floral pattern and lined with white nylon mesh. The pleats carry through to the edge of the band on the right side, but not the left. The upper edge of the band is straight with two shoulder straps of orange nylon fabric. At both ends of the band are narrow ties of dark red nylon fabric, roughly machine stitched with white thread.
Women’s outer coat, or parka, of brown caribou fur with a large elongated hood. The coat has a small triangular front flap and a long rectangular back flap and very broad angular shoulders. The back of the coat is enlarged through an insertion of an elongated v-shaped piece of fur. The hemline and the hood are trimmed with white fur. Clusters of narrow fringes are attached all around the hem. Three bands of white fur are inserted on the lower front of the sleeves. In the front the sleeves are also trimmed with a narrow strip of white fur. On the top of the back four caribou ears are attached. Two long strips of white fur are attached to the tip of the second piece on the right. On the back of the right shoulder a group of three brown tassels is attached.
Woman’s outer coat, or parka, made of caribou fur. The coat is calf length with a close fitting hood and narrow shoulders. It is cut in an A-line to flare at the bottom. White fur panels on each side extend down below the neckline into elongated triangular gussets. Bands of white fur are inserted in the sleeves below the shoulders and along the hemline. The hood, sleeves and lower edge are trimmed with wolverine fur. Two rectangular pieces of white caribou fur are inserted on the back below the shoulders. Paired tassels of wolverine fur are attached into the seams off the shoulders, on the chest, and on the back below the white inserts.
