Square embroidered panel with four bands surrounding the centre picture section. The outside band is black. The second band is white with large black, blue and purple flowers. The third band is thick and blue. The fourth band is blue with a white zigzag line and flowers. The centre section has a yellow butterfly and blue and red flowers with green leaves on a cream background. The panel is backed by a piece of brown fabric.

The upper flap is embroidered with narcissus (flower of the new year), peony (flower of spring), crane (symbol of longevity), Shou Shin (god of longevity), (god of happiness), (god of prosperity), and the deer also (symbol of longevity). The lower flap is embroidered with the peony, the phoenix (symbol of peace and serenity) and the unicorn chi lin. Both are honored creatures, the other two are the tiger and dragon. Each flap is edged with embroidered ribbon. All on purple damask ground, net and tassel fringe with bronze discs. Reverse is lined with pink cotton.

SkirtN1.80 a

Light orange damask skirt panel (part a) with tiny pleats and embroidery. Across the top is a wide cotton waistband with three frog fasteners. A purple tie is attached to a loop on the waistband. The orange damask is woven containing large peony motifs. On the edges of the skirt are scalloped borders with a floral motif in red, yellow and green on a ground with dark blue trim. On the front and back are xiezhi?, phoenix, peony and mountain motifs in pink, red, gold, green and blue. The inside is unlined.

Dagger, or knife and sheath (part b). Iron blade with a dark wooden handle. The sheath is composed of hippopotamus and crocodile skin and has a stamped geometric design as well as braided trim, and a loop handle attached at the top.

A metal sword with a beaten metal blade (part a) which has a fuller that has three ridges, of which the central ridge extends longer than the outer ones. There are two crescent moon shapes near the middle of the blade on each side. Floral decorations beaten on hilt which has a pommel, grip, and cross-guard. The sheath (part b) is sewn and embossed with a geometric pattern cut on sheath leather which is dyed ochre red and pale green. Cotton thread gird with huge tassels in red, green, and yellow.

Spear with wooden shaft covered in bands of dyed red leather at the ends, each with a raised band at either end and a band of grass (?) woven through slits in the leather to form a diagonal pattern, and a centre section covered in off-white skin. The spear has a spade-shaped metal tip with a border of indented semi-circles along the edges of the blade, and incised lines at the base of the blade. The butt end is composed of a conical piece of metal.
