Stylized configurative animal image in black form line with orange-brown detail. Animal lies on its back with flipper-like appendages overlapped at the top. Large black ovoid body with a flattened long edge at the top. Upside down salmon-trout head at the centre outlined by black with an orange-brown split u and s-shapes to the sides. At the left top, there is black u form with two orange-brown u forms inside, each of which has an ovoid at the top all outlined with a u-shaped orange-brown line. Flipper-like, black appendage to the right is crossing the second which starts at the right end of the u form. Neck stretches out to the right with four evenly spaced orange-brown s-shapes along the interior. Large circular, black eye is followed by a tapering snout with an orange-brown u form and five horizontal, red whiskers pointing to the left side. Sweeping black line from the ovoid to the right bottom divides into three. Two close, parallel black lines run horizontally behind the animal. Two segment, discontinuous black horizontal line across the top has four and five orange-brown tree-like vertical lines, respectively. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge '61/195 3/7/78 NORTHERN FUR SEAL Roy Henry Vickers'. The print is on a horizontally rectangular, light white-brown paper stock.

When Worlds CollideNb3.1393

Series of design units. At the top right, there is a black and white banded ovoid with a u-shape extending on the top right side and the lower left side. U forms have black band to the outside, a second band has diagonal lines across, and a split u at the ovoid. Below and to the left, there is a second unit as the first except it has a scratched appearance and is broken where the u form and the ovoid join. Third unit is below and to the right and is further scratched and divided. Across the bottom, there are disconnected and very scratched segments of the same design. Below the image, there is a written pencil inscription which reads: 18/30 "When Worlds Collide" Lyle Wilson 3/13/79. The print is on vertically rectangular, white deckle edged paper with the bottom left edge cut on an angle. Framed.

Frolicking WhaleNb3.1392

Black and very dark grey stylized image with twelve variously and brightly coloured (in rainbow sequence) bands sweeping across the top from the left in an expanding arch, each band having branch-like projections towards the end. The image below is in two parts, coming together at the centre top. On the left, there is an ovoid profile face on an angle with crosshatching around the eye, a semi-circle 'spout' from which multi-coloured bands extend, an ovoid nose, even teeth rows with prominent canines, and above and below the head, there are u forms in bent u form. Centre u form has diagonal lines across, closest to head is split, outer is dark grey, the top is slightly bent, with a small circle at the end, bottom ends in sharp point with a circle just before. Right side has an ovoid frontal face on an angle with two diagonally striped u forms in split u, beside the band above the ovoid tapering to a point at the top. Below the face, there is a hand with diagonal striping between the digits and the crosshatched ovoid palm. Written pencil inscription across bottom reads '15/47 Frolicking Whale Lyle Wilson '81'. The print is on a vertically rectangular, light white-brown deckle edged paper piece.

'Black and white' stylized bird image composed of shapes intersected by lines dividing each shape into alternating black and white segments. The head is in profile, the top left is circles within circles, and the hooked beak is on the right. Segmented wing below with circles within a circle at the bottom left. Image is in black outlined rectangle with outlining wider on the left than on the right. Wide black band at the top contains a blue stylized bird which has a profile head facing to the left side, having outstretched wings indicated by four sweeping lines, and three segment tail at the centre to the bottom. Viewed from the side, the word 'art' can be seen in the positive and negative image ? Black band at the bottom contains a red stylized bird which has a profile head facing to the right side, but otherwise the same as the top. Stylized image of a house front. Gabled roof and outside supports in red-orange bands. House front design is bilaterally symmetrical. Three wedge shaped vertical elements hang under the eaves on each side of the roof. In the house, there is a frontal humanoid figure at the top centre on top of a black rectangle with circles off centre. To either side, there are large profile whales curling and facing inward with the ovoid head to the centre and the black outlined split u to the outside. Red outlined horizontal band above the house tapers to the right with two notches, one at the centre and one to the left. Random series of red outlined circles between the band and the roof on the left side. Stylized frontal bird with profile head facing to the right side above a profile curved whale facing to the left side. Both in black, curving form line, ovoids, etc., with secondary elements in brown. Bird's eye is ovoid with ovoid centre surrounded by a tapering oval. Beak follows a curve from the top of the ovoid to a blunt end. Beak is slightly open with a brown tongue. There are two brown u forms behind the mouth. A brown u forms and split u are beside the eye along the beak. Wings on either side have vertically aligned ovoids in ovoid followed by two brown u forms on the right and one on the left, then three elongated split u forms along the body. Tail has two red u forms above three longer ones. To the right of the body, there are two rows of brown u forms. Lower limbs on either side of the body and tail ending in circle variations. Two vertically aligned brown u forms between the body and the left wing. Two horizontally aligned u forms between the body and the right wing. Wedge of brown u lines above. Whale has a black circle in circle eye and a snout that is u-shaped with a brown u form and two brown split u's at the centre. Slightly open mouth with a top row of even teeth and a segmented brown tongue. Pectoral fin at the bottom next to the head is a black ovoid within ovoids followed by a brown u form u at the centre. Dorsal fin is the tail of the bird. Body of whale has black outlined brown rib-like bands on either side of a split, curving brown centre line. Tail at the right bottom has a black circle at the centre and flukes to each side. Two brown u forms of varying sizes on either side. Pencil inscription across the bottom reads '88/150 23/4/79 RAVEN and WHALE Roy Henry Vickers'. Embossed circular stamp at the lower right reads 'Canadian Native Prints Limited' with a salmon image at the centre. The print is on a vertically rectangular, white paper stock with four deckle edges.

The Creation of EveNb7.302

Stylized configurative figures of a horizontal male across the bottom, a vertical female, and a bird above. All are in black form line with circles at tge joints and interior details in red. Male lies on his back with his head to the left side, his right leg is bent, and his right arm rests on his groin. Floating female has an arched back and her arms fall straight down behind her along with her flowing hair. The pointed toe of her foot touches the bottom edge of the male's ribcage. The bird has wings curving out in a v-shape with its head pointed down at the centre. Human limbs have red u forms or lines following the outer contours. Lips are red, and there are 2 u forms across the cheeks. Bird has a series of connected red u forms along the wing bands with two or three vertical lines in each, except for the first. Wing on the right ends in black, red, then black tapering line. On the left ends with five alternating black and red tapering lines. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge reads '59/100 Feb. 77 THE CREATION OF EVE Roy Henry Vickers TSIMSHIAN TRIBE KITKATLA B.C.'. Two curved stylized profile whales in vertical alignment facing to the left side. The top whale is in red with black detail while the bottom whale is in black with red detail. Bottom whale is more curved with the head at the bottom. Has a black ovoid in inner ovoid eye, a segmented red tongue in a slightly open mouth, and a red split u at the snout. There is a emi-circle blow hole. Circle in circles at the pectoral fin. Two circles at the top of the dorsal fin to the left of a red u form above a red split u. Body has a central curved red band with red s-shapes or bands extending out in a rib-like pattern with negative areas between outlined in black. Tail flukes have central circle with a non-concentric circle at the centre. Top whale is less curved with similar details as bottom except in reverse red and black. Also upper teeth row, fins, and head details vary. Red 'rv' at right bottom corner. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge reads '44/195 11/24/77 MIRACLE Roy H. Vickers'. The print is on a vertically rectangular, light white-brown paper stock.

Complex stylized black images in a roughly rectangular shape. Central frontal figure is bilaterally symmetrical black on white and white on black opposing on each side. Skull shaped head with tapering oval eyes with split u's above, ovoid nostrils, and ovoids with ovoid mouth. Eye shapes in hands by chin, circular knees, split, elongated u forms on either side, and eye shapes in splayed feet. On the left side at the top of the figure in black on white, there is a hooked beaked, profile bird head with face in ovoid eye and wing/tail shape above. Below, there is frontal figure with a series of split u's across the crown, raised hands, upside down head for torso, and crosshatched skirt-like tassels between legs. On the right of the figure in white on black, there is a bird-human at the top with a fetal-like head and body in crouch. Below, there is a whale with curved bands from the spout, even, closed teeth, and a series of ovoids along the elongated body and the fluked tail at the top. On the outside edges, there are four figures. The bottom two are upside down with feet merging with the two top figures. Each has a skull-like head, bent arms, round knees with elongated u forms for the leg sections, and one foot in profile to the outside. Inside shares ovoid with opposing figure. Across the top and the bottom, there is a serpent-like image and the bottom is upside down. Head on the left at the top and right on the bottom. Central frontal figure with a series of eye shapes. Written pencil inscription across bottom reads '10/50 Shaman's World Lyle Wilson '80.' The print is on a vertically rectangular, white deckle edged paper piece.
