A Host of CaribouNa1488

A print with two hunters in a horizontal position. One hunter has a spear and is wearing blue and orange clothing while the other hunter has a bow and arrow and is wearing brown, green, and orange clothing. Above the hunters, there is a host of seven brown caribou walking over a hill to the right side. The hill is has a thick black outline with blue u forms below. Stamped with the names of artist and printmaker in Inuit syllabics in monogram form with Baker Lake stylized yellow cross and bow in lower right corner. In the lower right corner, there is a small yellow image of a right pointing arrow emerging from a bulge pointing to pencilled syllabic. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge reads 'A host of caribou A/P III/V Oonark Ukpatiku 1976'. The print is on horizontally rectangular white paper.

The design has a central black ovoid eye-like shape with a sideways black u form in front and an elongated red split u below, all of which is surrounded by a black outline that has a white circle at the small beak-like point. There is a black u form above this small beak-like point. Above all of this, there are two upside down red u forms surrounded by a larger black one and next to which, on the right side, there is a black sideways u form with an ovoid at the end. There is an elongated black needle-like point above. On the left side, there is a sideways black split u with a red u form surrounded by a black line.

Man Frog LegendNb3.1304

Serigraph print. Bold design of a human figure in a frog mouth, with the human face at the centre. Figure is bound by a wide red mouth with eyes above and a red band across the centre dropping below the chin. The figure's right forearm and upper arm are parallel and his right hand parallel to the upper band. His left arm is out to the side with the hand flat to the ground. Figure has black and white banded ribs, asymmetrical eyes with double black and white circles at the centre. Figure is surrounded by a large open mouth of a blue frog, showing teeth with red detail and red nostrils. Major joints are double ovoids. Above the top band, on either side, there are large red ovoids with black and white eye shapes at the centre surrounded with blue. Blue flowing line outlines all. Red band frames the print. Pencil inscription along the bottom edge reads '34/100 Man Frog Legend Cranmer 78'. The print is on horizontally rectangular, light brown paper.

Configurative design of sea raven in Kwakwaka'wakw style. Image of mask with the head of a raven and the heads of other creatures on top of the head. Under the raven, there is human face which is on top of grass. The grass is red, yellow, and black. Most of the design is in black including dashes on the raven and all outlining. There are multi-coloured split-u's and orange, blue, and green u forms. All the mouths are open with teeth and red outlining. Raven has red nostrils in ovoid shapes. Black inscription below image. The print is on vertically rectangular, off-white paper.

Roughly bilaterally symmetrical, black on white image of two profile otters with heads at the top and tails to the bottom. Limbs at centre on either side of u form with point at the top. Heads meet at black triangle. Teeth are bared. Series of u forms along curved backbone to outside. Curved tails have a series of uneven u forms. Black inscription below image. The print is on vertically rectangular, off-white paper.
