Masonic-style brooch with circular disc at top engraved with radial design of eight lines and dots. Geometric opening at centre of brooch and inverted heart above. Lower portion of brooch decorated with 1 heart-shaped cutout, 2 crescents, 1 half-moon and 3 irregular decorative shapes. Bottom decorated with incised lines and a row of 13 dots. Cross-pin attached. Stamped with maker’s mark.

Circular brooch with outer row of alternating vertical and horizontal oval cutouts, the latter outlined with engraved zigzag lines. Inner row of diamond cutouts. Engraved double zigzag lines and 4 small wavy lines surround central circular hole with raised edge. Cross-pin secured through hole. Dent in inner rim opposite cross-pin hole. Maker’s hallmark close to inner ridge at pin hinge.

Textile on the loom is woven in a chevron and flower design in red, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, white and purple on a burgundy background. Rope is burgundy, green, purple and white. Loom and pick are carved and sanded. Pick is also painted. Many wooden pieces are attached in the weave.

Necklace1590/101

A necklace of 117 beads, 6 teeth and 7 silver beavers, arranged with a large beaver at centre and 4 beads separating alternating teeth and beavers. Remaining beads all in colour sequence of three of the light-coloured beads alternating with a red bead. Large beaver has cross-hatched tail, engraved fur on body and two holes as nostrils. Three cartouches on body. Remaining beavers each have nose rings and a cartouche on back. Hole drilled at base of each tooth through which they are strung.
