Birch bark container body made from a single piece of bark cut and sewn to shape; flat, square bottom, tapering to a circular mouth at top. Round lid with small raised handle. Strip of animal hide, with rectangular cut-outs is attached to body as handle. Wooden hoop stitched to top of mouth. Stitched with split root or basswood fibre.
Round leather drum secured to ceramic base by wooden pegs driven through the overlapped then glued leather. Drum head is white. The ceramic ring is red. There is a fibrous hook.
Brown, rectangular skin skirt with ties and fringe. The long thin ties have triangular handles attached to the ends. The light tan coloured fringe along the bottom is made from four rectangular pieces attached to the back of the skirt.
Skirt made of an overall trapezoid shape composed of three pieces sewn together with thread made of thin strips of skin. The lower pieces are ovoids with rectangular straps sewn to the sides of the upper piece made from an almost complete hide with tapering straps at the top of each side. The bottom pieces are dark brown, reddish-brown and light brown. The top piece is in lighter, varying shades of brown and off-white, and there is a hole on each side as well as one at the centre. There is one hole on each of the other skins.
Cylindrical container with zebra fur, and skin covering which is tightly secured with wound zebra leather from end to end. Leather braided, and tied tightly to end. Whole container curves slightly.
Fan that opens to a full circle and is made of off-white parchment and red, brown and green leather. The fan is rectangular when closed with the pleated body of the fan contained between an extension of the two handles. The fan is secured when shut by a leather strap with a toggle fastening. The leatherbound handles are joined at their ends by a leather loop and toggle. The parchment body of the fan is stitched to a rigid leather-carved frame extending along the sides when closed and the end. The parchment body of the fan is made up of two pieces stitched together. The stitching throughout is of leather thong. The decoration consists of geometric shapes cut into the strap. There is stitching in a contrasting colour on the sides and end of the closed fan. Multi-coloured bands of leather thong encircle or are woven around the handles.
Amulet, or charm, composed of three stuffed red leather pouches with string passing through a looped passage at the top of each, which is stitched with a strip of leather.
Lyre with two arms and crossbar, all incised with a criss-cross design. The arms fit into plastic bowl covered with two pieces of tanned skin and hand sewn with goat gut. Six plastic strings are fastened to six pegs and lashed around the pegs and the crossbar. The strings are fastened across the front of the sound box over a wooden bridge and are all tied to a piece of gut which is sewn onto the sound box and stretched.
Small round fat container. Convex cowhide cap with hair on it. Cap is moulded onto top to form lid. Lower hide cover is tied to leather straps in five places. These are tied to a leather strip which goes around the upper centre. Has leather strap. Two lines of burned holes as design around the top half under lid. Also under the centre strip which holds up the lower cowhide cap. Has large black knot over double strap area.
Small light brown cylindrical bamboo container with two pieces of hide that bave brown parts of hair still on used for caps at each end. Strip of dark brown leather sewn together with hide at the bottom goes all around the container for a handle and is held in place in four places by a small string of beads on the bottom edge of the cap. Red beads on the cap and white with blue striped beads also.
