Double annular wooden frame rattle mounted with puffin beaks. [EC 'DCF 2004-2006 What's Upstairs?' 14/9/2005]
One coiled, tied reed with previously attached tag labelled "4S3-3 / 230 / AR-132" on the front and "(g.)" on the back. Field Catalog Form indicates the provenience as: Unit 4S3, Level 3 (35"). Artifact Record Notebook 1 indicates the provenience of #132 as: Unit 4S3, Level 35", 3' from 4S2, 3' from 4S3, Excavated by Eugene Giles on 7/15/1953, Comments: "Grass Layer" (02/02/2010 A. Auerbach)
Ornament consisting of a carved wooden peg, beads placed on a metal pin, and two cross-bars of bone to which feathers are fastened with thread. Sequins are sewn to one side of each feather. The wooden beads are black, red, white and green in colour.
Deer hooves secured to top by twine and shoelace, handgrip in blue and white painted woven canvas, with red painted twine, deer hoof rattles, lattice work hand-grip.
Bent horn that has been tied to form a rattle; cotton strips are wrapped around the handle. Lead shot is inside the rattle to make noise.
Circular rattle with scallop shell attachments. Handle is made from double cedar root hoops, which are concealed by a red print cloth. The thirteen pectin shells are pierced near their bases for attachment.

Carved, wooden rattle decorated with human faces and white wool fringes on the sides. The two human faces are finely carved and appear on both sides of the rattle. The handle is bound with bark. Facial features are emphasized with black and red paint.
