Under-trousers of very fine white cotton fabric with a sheen. Pants are angled out from the waistband to the ankles. Body of pants is pleated onto a wide waistband opening at the back. At each side of the waistband opening is attached a narrower long tie. Pleats face towards the centre, front and back. Crotch is low, ending above the knees, and open. On each side of the crotch opening is sewn an additional panel, extending from the lower edge of the front of the waistband to each side of the back opening. Panels overlap where they are attached to the front of the waistband so that one inserts into the other. The inner seams of the legs below the panels form convex curves, so that the pants are narrower at the ankles.

Waist BagN3.3

A small flat bag made of red silk damask lined with dark blue silk damask with an inner lining of pink cotton fabric revealed by holes under the flap. Bag is rectangular with rounded sides narrowing through, folding to the top opening which is covered by a downwardly-extending flared flap ending with a point. There are embroidered designs outlined in heavy gold couching over the entire red surface. On the flap, there are stylized rocks and waves with a coin in the centre, above which, there are two phoenixes facing each other. Above that, there is a Korean? character with cloud forms on both sides. On the front of the bag, there are two floral images showing beyond the edges of the flap. On the back, there are two seams and four floral images. A green cord, ending in an elaborate knot and four loops, is threaded through the top of the bag. A loop fastener is under the flap.

Conical woven hat that has three equally spaced, vertical bands of geometric patterns in black on a natural ground that consist of vertical diamond shapes with smaller ones within outlined by zig zags and having three vertical red strips woven in equal spaces across. Three equally spaced red-brown rods in between the geometric bands extend upward to create a three-arched loop in red and black at the top with a pyamid below at the centre.
