Necklace with woven, bead-like, orange and fuchsia structures in disc and tubular shape alternating with each other making a chain. Three sections vary from the sequence; one has two blue exterior discs with a fuchsia disc centre and a light yellow ring with a fuchsia circle on top. The second section is a flower-like design with an orange middle and yellow rectangular petals sewn onto a light orange disc. The last section is a circle of pink, blue and orange discs with a light blue, orange and fuchsia butterfly.

Dragon RobeN1.280

Dark blue robe with an open weave. The robe has a round neck, tapered sleeves with hoof cuffs and a side opening with brass frog closures. There are slits in the centre front and back. On the front and back are four-toed dragons, pearl, fire, bat, cloud, mountain, wave, rhinoceros horn, circular and rectangular gold ornament motifs as well as the Buddhist symbols of good fortune and the Ji (luck) character. The motifs are gold, yellow, red, blue, green and white on dark blue ground. There are nine large dragons in all; three on the front and back, two on the shoulders and one on the inside flap. The collar border has a dragon, pearl and cloud motif on black ground, edged with a gold geometric band. The sleeves are black with a gold triple stripe pattern. The hoof cuffs have dragon, pearl and cloud motif on black ground and edged with a gold geometric band. The inside is unlined.

Kimono JacketN2.208

Black haori (羽織) or jacket/overcoat with designs on the lower half. The neck and centre opening are edged with a wide black band. The sleeves are short with hanging panels and an opening under the arms. There are family crests or kamon (家紋) in the shape of white paulownia flower in a circle known as maru ni gosan kiri (丸に五三桐), two on the upper front, one on back and two on the back of both sleeves. The designs along the bottom hem and sleeves have snow covered pine tree and wave motifs in green, blue, brown and white on black ground. The inner lining is blue with the same pine tree and wave motifs.

Blue robe with rounded neck, wide sleeves, side slits and side opening with brass frog closures. On the front, back and sleeves are dragon, fire, pearl, cloud, wave, ruyi sceptre, wheel of law, vase, umbrella, conch shell and bat motifs on blue ground. The border around the neck and partway down the side opening has a gold geometric pattern on brown ground. The sleeves have a border with bird, insect, bat and floral motifs on green ground with cream floral and brown geometric trims. The inside lining is pink damask silk with circle and bat motifs.

Cantonese Opera RobeN1.629

Blue robe with a round neck, tapered sleeves with hoof cuffs and a side opening with brass frog closures. There are slits in the centre front and back. The collar border has a gold peony motif on a red ground, edged with gold braid and pink trim. The cuffs have gold braid outside and black cotton lining inside. The robe lining is natural-coloured linen.

Dark blue uchikake (打掛) with many embroidered squares. The neck and centre opening are edged with a wide blue band. The sleeves are short with long hanging panels and an opening under the arms. On the front, back and sleeves are embroidered squares. Each square has a rounded top and a different motif. The motifs include towers, bamboo, waves, birds, flowers and leaves in predominantly gold, green, brown, yellow and orange on dark blue ground. The inner lining is red silk and padded with cotton in some places known as fuki (袘).
