Flat, rounded stone, horseshoe-shaped in plan view, with perforation about 5 cm from the rounded end of the object. The other end has a pitted surface and ground indentation. Object has paint stains.
Perforated sinker. Locality: Fisher, Washington. Remarks: Found on 1 acre of ground, now occupied by descents(sic) of a Yakima family and a Hudson's Bay man. The Yakima are supposed to have lived there long before Hudson's Bay days.* Pecked and ground all over to form biconically perforated disc. Perforation is slightly off center. Large perforated stone, sinker or anchor. Locality: Saturna Is., Gulf Is., off S.E. Coast of Vancouver Is. Remarks: Sandstone.* Some areas have ionized portions. A hole with a diameter of approximately three inches present in the center of stone. Catalog number has been applied to stone with glue. Oval in shape.
