Small awl with wooden handle and metal point.
Palm-handled awl. Circular wooden handle has flattened end and tapers to a metal neck-ring. Spherical metal blade projects from within metal neck-ring, which has an indentation on either side. The short metal blade tapers to a point and appears to have been worked or filed to achieve that point.
Long metal piece that is pointed at the end. Attached to carved tubular wooden handle.
One end of the bone has eight nodules carved on the end. From this end, the bone has been carved along the length so that the bone narrows down to a dull point at the opposite end. Lengthwise on one side is a natural groove, 7 cm long, originating from the nodules. Lengthwise on the other side beginning 4.5 cm from the nodules the bone has roughly been broken away, exposing the inner cavity of the bone.
An awl of cassowary leg bone, tapering to a point, and grooved near the joint end. The joint is dark brown while the point is light yellow. The surface, except for the joint, is extremely smooth, polished through use.
Large brown thorn with five small notches. Base is wider and yellow where the core has been twisted.
Bone splinter awl which tapers to a fine point. It is round in cross-section at tip end. Tip flares to blunt end. There is a natural channel at centre on one side, rounded on the other.
