This child's Reservation period (1850-1910) vest is beaded on the front and back and has geometric patterns in red, green, and blue on a white background. There is green edging around the garment and the addition of fringe along the bottom and around each armhole. Condition is good.

The object is a child's pair of beaded moccasins. Its design, often used by Cheyenne artists, is made up of a stepped pyramid design otherwise known as the 'tipi' door design.

This is a good example of the striped shirts worn. The sides could have been tied together. Although called a child's poncho it could very well have been made for a small man.

Pair of Child's Moccasins43.201.72a-b

These child's moccasins have the old style seam work typical of Cree. The beads go in two different directions, unusual. They have little trail dusters and are made all in one piece with one seam along the side.
