Long coat. Denim cotton garment reaches the lower leg at hem with long slits at each side. It has long sleeves, open at the front, and an embroidered collar in dark brown and tan which is edged with a line of beading and tiny pink pompoms. Edges of bottom hem, side slits, wrists, and front opening are lined in what appears to be red silk? Garment is heavily embroidered on back, from waist to hem, in tan and dark red, bordered by layered bands of red applique. A rectangle of similar embroidery is sewn to the centre back of the coat. Long pink tassels attached to the collar and passing in front of the square have transferred their colour onto it.

Long coat. Denim cotton garment has long sleeves, is open at the front, with an embroidered collar in purple and tan which is edged with a line of beading and tiny pompoms in pink and blue. Forearms are constructed of a different material in a dark blue. Edges of bottom hem, side slits and front opening are lined in red silk (?). Back of coat has Hmong style embroidery in green, purple and tan in repeating square and zigzag motifs bordered by layered bands of red applique. A rectangle of similar embroidery is sewn to the centre back of the coat.

Long coat. Long-sleeved, soft cotton garment. Open front, reaching the lower leg at hem, and with long slits at each side. Red piping lines the edges of cuffs, slits, hem and front opening. A narrow panel of embroidery surrounds collar with short pink tassels and multicoloured plastic beads along its inside edge. At back, a group of pink tassels falls from the collar to the shoulders. Garment heavily embroidered on back from waist to hem in tan, blue and pink. A rectangle of pink embroidery decorates the back between the shoulders.

Long open-front coat. Red striped silk with light blue and off-white cross-hatched lining. Panels of embroidered strips extend down the front on both sides of opening, and on the underside of the cuffs. The opening, collar, and cuffs are embroidered with yellow, black and white flowers. The front is decorated with metal drops (possibly pounded coins?), as well as Pahlavi Dynasty coins and Islamic Republic of Iran coins. The latter have amber-like decorations on the obverse side of each coin.

Long coat with an open front. There is a loop closure on the chest. The hem, opening, and neck are bordered by bands of plaited bright green and black stripes, and then black or brown embroidery. A single round fabric embellishment is on each side of chest, decorated with metallic threads, small tassels, and beading. A single row of six white buttons decorates the back of the neck. A train is formed from two long pieces of fabric, which extend back from each shoulder, and join together at their ends where they are decorated with the same plaited green and black stripes and three buttons. The coat's interior is lined with multiple calico(?) fabrics. There are small strips of embroidery sewn down the interior edges of the coat's opening.

Woman’s full-length, A-line, colourful robe (chapan), with long tapered sleeves; open at centre front from neck to hemline, no closures; made of red, yellow, dark red-purple and blue warp-ikat silk textile (abr), woven with patterned silk warp and red silk weft, giving the textile a pinkish background. The front opening is wide through the chest area then tapers inward and overlaps slightly at the hemline. Lightly quilted, with cotton batting. Gathering at the sides just under the sleeves. 16 cm vertical slits at each side at the hem. All edges trimmed with narrow green, black and white loop-manipulated warp twined technique. Lined with off-white cotton textile, machine printed with small gray circular motifs; sleeves lined with brown plaid cotton textile; edges of the body of the garments are faced on the inside with bias strips of multi-coloured ikat textile (silk warp, cotton weft); sleeves faced with bias strips of striped cotton textile.

Gathering at the sides just under the sleeves. 16 cm vertical slits at each side at the hem. Front edges and bottom hem trimmed with 2.3 cm blue, pink and off white tablet-woven braid; sleeve hems trimmed with pink, blue, black and off-white 1.5 cm tablet woven braid. Body is lined with black and off-white checked cotton textile; sleeves lined with orange and off-white cotton textile; edges of the body of the garments are faced on the inside with bias strips of multi-coloured ikat textile (silk warp, cotton weft); sleeves faced with bias strips of brightly coloured floral printed cotton textile.
