Handle edge curves outwards, tapers, then widens and follows the shape of the comb all the way down the sides near the teeth. There are eight teeth to the comb. A contrasting light wood triangular shape is inset into handle.
Comb with handle that curves inwards at the top and has squared-off top edges. The bottom of the comb has six teeth. Each are tapered to a sharp point at the end.
Rectangular wooden frame with a thick curved bottom edge and a thin top edge. In the centre of the frame, there are palm fibre teeth. All of the edges are fitted together and are secured with twine.
Comb with wedge-shape finial handle, and four thick teeth, each that taper to a point. Four dark lines are across the comb horizontally.
Comb sealed inside a plastic bag; bag is secured shut with a paper manufacturer's label stapled over the opening. Comb has a square shaft and eight long teeth. Front of shaft has geometric designs carved in relief; back of shaft and teeth are undecorated. Design consists of black lines, trimmed with white, bordering four semi-circles surrounding a diamond; background is white, designs done in black and dark orange. Yellow card inserted into bag, behind comb, with image of person using comb and one of the comb itself; paragraph of text describes makers, materials, and decorations.
Bamboo comb. The body is rectangular with a row of eleven long cutout teeth and a handle that tapers to a blunt tip. The comb itself has a natural overall curve due to the shape of the bamboo.

The fibres are inserted into the top bar and are separated from one another with cotton strands; strands are woven into a repeating yellow and black zigzag pattern. Bottom of the weaving is anchored to the second bar, which is wrapped in green thread. Teeth extend past the lower bar and are undecorated. Stiff braided ties secure bars together, on either side of weaving.

The fibres are inserted into the top bar, made of bone, and separated from one another with cream-coloured cotton strands; strands are woven into a repeating concentric diamond pattern. Bottom of the weaving is anchored to the second bar, made of wood, which is wrapped in cotton. Teeth extend past the lower bar and are undecorated. Stiff braided ties secure bars together, on either end of weaving; ties wrapped in cotton. Red and yellow feathers inserted into either end of bone bar.
