Container made from the capsule shell of a brazil nut. Round shell has been cut smoothly in half to create a dish with a lid, with a small flattened foot area on the base. Rough, woody bark has been left in place. Three small round medallions of nutshell have been set into holes carved into the rim of the dish that correspond to holes in the lid, ensuring a tight fit between the two. A cone shaped handle coloured dark brown is attached to the top of the lid, around which is knotted plant fibre, which also encircles the container from top to bottom, further holding the lid in place.

Plain, cylindrical container (part a) with lid (part b). Container is darker around the smaller upper portion, has a smaller lighter portion just below, and has a medium brown larger lower portion. Lid is decorated with a band of woven rattan in brown and black. Surface of bamboo is shiny.

Small container carved from tusk. Container is an elongated hexagon, tall, with a crenellated rim. Interior narrows toward bottom, following the line of the tusk’s pulp cavity. On front is engraved an igloo below Inuktitut syllabics, while on the back is etched a stone lamp(?), also with syllabics. Both etchings are emphasized with black, while syllabics are in-painted with red. A channel is carved around the exterior at the bottom, to create the illusion of a base.

Hoof container with wooden stopper. Small, shiny black vessel is wide at bottom with a fitted oval of wood at base, thin on the side-view, narrowing irregularly toward mouth. Container tilts slightly to one side. Lid (part b) is made of a thin oval of wood that sits inset in the container mouth, and has a small strip of leather as a handle. Handle is threaded through a hole bored in the wood near centre.
