Two pages from the Qur'an. Each page consists of script with a gold-leaf frame border. One page (part a) has a coloured flower painted on one corner. Both sides of each paper are written on.

Rectangular piece of light olive green paper with black printing on one side. Print has both graphics and text. At the top of the page in the middle, the title reads: "ADINKRA SYMBOLISM" and is followed by paragraphs of small printed text. There are 60 different Adinkra symbols drawn on the page, in four vertical rows of rectangular boxes that have both a symbol on the left side and a paragraph of small printed text on the right side. In the centre, there is a larger rectangular graphic entitled: "ADINKRA CLOTH" that shows a drawing of an example of an Adinkra textile, with geometric rectangular bands on the perimeter and triangular and circular forms in the centre.

Part d (12.4 x 4.2 cm) has black calligraphy written on one side with part of a circular red stamp along one edge and a red sticker stamped with purple at one end. Part e (8 x 7 cm) has black calligraphy written on one side with a red sticker and a red stamp. Part f (20.4 x 6.5 cm, folded) has calligraphy pencilled on one side with black calligraphy on an attached strip of paper.

Annotations of a Chinese classic on filial piety. Can be read in Japanese with insertions of red characters. The cover is brown with white diagonal lines. There is black calligraphy on the front surrounded by red on a white piece of paper.

Large rectangular brown paper with eleven lines of black Chinese characters. Three characters on separate pieces of paper are superimposed on the large sheet of paper, possibly over other characters.

Rectangular parchment music sheet. Both sides have Latin inscription mainly in black with some red; three decorated initials, 'd' in blue, 'h' and 'm' in red on scrolled rectangular background of reverse colour (d on red, h and m on blue). Square notes are black; musical lines are red.
