Female doll attached to a wooden stand. Doll is made of stuffed white cloth and has painted facial features. Her eyes are black, with white highlights, and she has thick eyelashes. Light blue eyeshadow painted on her lids, cheeks are rosy. Lips are full and coloured light pink. Her short black hair is parted to the left, with a light brown flower pinning the hair in place. She is wearing a short white jacket, with a light green outer neck facing and matching wrist bands. It also has a light pink inner neck facing. The jacket is tied shut with a long, dark green ribbon. Underneath, she is wearing a white dress, trimmed with a wide, light green band along the bottom edge. All clothing components are covered in floral embroidery. Done in white, light green and dark green. She has rough, open weave pants and an underskirt on beneath her dress, and plain white shoes. Her right arm is bent at her side, with her hand curved out in front of her body, palm facing down. Her left arm and wrist are slightly bent, palm facing down, and resting at her side. Wooden stand is painted black and has paper labels attached to the base.

Doll representing a woman carrying a baby. Doll is made of brown fabric and has short black hair. Her facial features are stitched on with thread. She has long thin eyebrows, small eyes, a straight nose and smiling mouth. Eyebrows are done in black, eyes are white and black, nose and mouth done in pink. She is wearing a Basotho-style hat, woven out of plant fibre. The hat is conical with a wide circular brim and loop on top. Hat is stitched to head along forehead. She is dressed in a white short sleeve blouse and red skirt. Both items have curvilinear designs across them, done in black. Skirt also has floral motifs and repeating pattern of Basotho-style hats. Skirt has a back opening and a manufacturer’s mark(?) is printed along the bottom edge. Woman has a white, yellow and brown checkered and striped blanket wrapped around her shoulders, secured with a safety pin. Tucked in the blanket, on her back, is a baby covered in a white and green geometric patterned cloth, with a central house design. Baby is made from brown fabric and has small eyes and a smiling mouth stitched on in white thread. Doll is attached to a white metal stand.

Light blue eyeshadow painted on her lids, cheeks are rosy. Lips are full and coloured light pink. Her black hair is pulled back into a low bun, secured with a red tie and gold-coloured hair pin. Light brown flower tucked into hair, on right side. Oval-shaped cloth attached to either side of her face, imitating ears. Doll is wearing a long, light pink jacket, with open sides and a matching outer neck facing. The inner neck facing is white. The bottom corners of the jacket, on both sides, flare out sharply. On the front centre of the jacket is a dark purple circle, bordered with a gold-coloured, scalloped ribbon. The jacket is tied shut with a long, darker pink ribbon. Underneath, she is wearing a loose blue dress that ends just above her ankles. All clothing components are covered in floral embroidery. Done in pink and blue. She has rough, open weave pants and an underskirt on beneath her dress, and plain white shoes. Both arms are bent at the elbow and curve in front of her body, at chest level. Her hands have their palms facing down, overtop of one another. Wooden stand is painted black and has paper labels attached to the base.
