A drawing on a halved Canada Post envelope. On the front-side is a profile drawing of a human-like being in black pen ink, and yellow and grey pencil. The side of the head is speckled with small black dots. Extending from the top of the forehead to the base of the head is thin black and grey coloured hair. Their left ear is pierced and the forehead is shaded in with black pen and yellow pencil. The words, "But Dolly my name is Saautuu honestly, my Dad named me that," are written in black ink in a speech bubble positioned near the forehead. The eye-brow ridge is exaggerated and is decorated with layers of dashed lines. Below the eye-brow the eye is enclosed by an elongated and lopsided diamond-shape. The cheekbone is accentuated by a curling black line that morphs into the nose. Rounded teeth line the upper jaw of the open mouth. The chin is coloured with black pen and yellow pencil. Below the chin is the remainder of the plastic film window of the envelope. On the reverse-side, the Canada Post stamp is machine-printed in black ink; "9500 9800 A" is handwritten upside-down above the stamp in black pen. Along the bottom edge, opposite the stamp, is a barcode printed in light orange ink.

An abstract drawing of a whale on a white business card. The front-side is a vertically oriented image of a whale drawn in purple ink and light grey pencil. The body of the whale, positioned in the middle of the page, is an oval with a purple border; the interior of the oval is white. Extending upwards from the oval to the top edge of the page is the dorsal fin; the outline of the fin is purple and the interior space is white. Drawn in pencil at the base of the dorsal fin is a circular blowhole. The pectoral fin is drawn underneath the oval; a purple circle is positioned at the body-fin joint. Between the pectoral fin and the oval body is a short tower-shape drawn in pencil. Below the pectoral fin is the whale's symmetrical tail; the tail flukes are outlined in purple ink. A pencil square with a cross is lightly drawn in the background space of the tail. The reverse-side of the page is horizontally oriented and machine-printed. Positioned on the left-side of the paper is a small image of a tree surrounded by a green forest. To the right is the commercial information for the artist Jill Paris Rody, printed in black and blue ink.

A pencil drawing on a whitish grey coloured bookmark. The front-side of the bookmark is a horizontally oriented, hand-drawn image of a whale in profile. The whale is drawn in three level segments: the head, body, and tail. The head of the whale is rectangular in shape; the eye patch is a rectangular-shape drawn above the whale's open mouth. Where the head and body join, is a dip in the pencil outline along the back of the whale; extending outwards from the dip is the whale's dorsal fin embellished with one flattened crescent-shape. Extending from the eye patch is a line with a U-shaped dip that continues to the tail of the whale. The pectoral fin is square-shaped near the joint and rounded near the tail; a single vertical crescent-shape decorates the fin. The body narrows towards the base of the tail; the tail flukes are symmetrical and are both decorated with a single crescent-shape. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in dark red ink. Along the top edge is the address and business hours of the bookstore, "Self Connection." A phone number is hand-written in black pen ink along the left edge of the bookmark near the bookstore's address. The slogan, "Helping People Help Themselves," is printed in italicized red font along the bottom edge.

A pencil drawing on an olive and brown coloured bookmark. The bookmark and the drawing are both vertically oriented. The front-side of the bookmark is a hand-drawn image of a wolf-human(?) being. The drawing is positioned in the top half of the bookmark. The being has a wolf-like head with four triangular spikes on the top of it's head, an exaggerated nose at the end of a snout, and rounded teeth lining the mouth. The base of the animal's head morphs into a bent human-like leg with toes and a defined ankle. A U-shaped line is drawn mid-thigh. The remainder of the front-side of the bookmark is blank. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed German text; the lines "Hab Sonne im herzen, so komme was mag, das leuchtet voll Licht dir, den dunkelsten Tag!," are printed in white ink.

A drawing on a beige coloured bookmark. The front-side of the bookmark is vertically oriented and is hand-drawn in black ink. The central image on the front-side is a decorated killer whale with a wide fin extending from the top of its head; its tail curves around the bottom of the bookmark ending just below the whale's jaw. Near the nose of the whale is a blowhole with a stream of air rising upwards towards the top of the bookmark. The spine of the whale is embellished with three unshaded ovals with a cross-shape inside; the tip of the nose and the pectoral flipper is also decorated with this design. On the reverse-side of the bookmark is a machine-printed image of a man reading a book, a short quote from Sara Nelson, the bookstore's name, "Literati Books," and information.

A drawing on a yellow-orange coloured bookmark. The front-side is hand-drawn in pencil. The central drawing is a killer whale with large fins extending from the top and the bottom of the whale's head. The whale's tail flukes, decorated with an ovoid, are depicted on the bottom right of the bookmark. Eight creatures extend outwards from the killer whale's body; two of the creatures have single arrows pointing outwards toward the bookmark's edge. A small human skull is lightly drawn near the whale's tail. The reverse-side of the bookmark is a machine-printed advertisement for the book, "An Everyday God" by James Taylor. At the top is a small image of a tree on a hillside. The lower half of the bookmark is a paragraph of text and the publishing company's address.

A pencil drawing on a yellow bookmark. The drawing and the paper are vertically oriented. On the front-side of the bookmark, a human skull, drawn in light grey pencil, is the central image. The skull has large round eye cavities, tall and narrow triangular nasal cavities, and two teeth attached to the upper jaw. A large dark grey dorsal fin extends outward from the top of the skull; the interior of the fin is decorated with an unshaded tower-shape and a dark grey circle. Protruding from the cheeks of the skull are two fins, both outlined in dark grey with unshaded yellow interiors. A whale tail extends downwards from the jaw of the skull; the two tail flukes are decorated with unshaded ovals and inverted triangles. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in black ink. At the top is "Che's Pages," below is the store's specialty and an image of an open book. At the bottom of the page is the store's business hours and address. A black rectangular border is printed along the edges of the page.

A drawing on a bookmark. The front-side is a hand-drawn image of a killer whale in black and red ink with traces of pencil outlining the body of the whale. The head of the whale is angled upwards; it is decorated with black ink with the exception of the space between the teeth and the lower jaw which is filled with a red stripe pattern. The whale's blowhole is embellished with two black dots, a red diamond with curling arms and a red horizontal oval, forming an upside-down face? The midsection is decorated with three creatures all with black eyes and teeth, and red mouths. The pectoral flipper is embellished with three creatures; the one closest to the whale's head is drawn upside down in all black ink, the middle and the end creature both have black eyes and teeth but red mouths. The upper portion of the tail is decorated with a human-like face with two eyes drawn in black ink, nostrils and an upper lip in red ink, and rounded teeth outlined in black ink. Black ovals with inner red ovals and two intersecting red lines are drawn in the tips of the whale's tail flukes. The reverse-side is machine-printed. At the top is the bookstore's name, "Acadia Art & Rare Books," and the store's hours. The middle section of the bookmark lists the store's specialities in black ink; the names of famous artists are printed in the background in grey ink. Commercial information including the store's address, telephone and fax numbers are listed at the very bottom of the bookmark.

A pencil drawing on a light beige bookmark. The front-side of the bookmark is a horizontally oriented, hand-drawn image of a sea lion(?) in profile. The sea lion is outlined in pencil with the interior remaining light beige. The eye is surrounded by a diamond-shaped patch; a wide tower-shape is drawn on the snout between the eye and the nose. The mouth is lined with two canine teeth and rounded molars; to the right of the mouth is a crescent-shape. The front flipper extends from the base of the head to the midsection; two curving lines embellish the flipper. A small oval is drawn towards the hind flipper on the underbelly. The hind flipper is decorated with three interconnected tower-shapes forming grooves on the flipper. The reverse-side of the bookmark is vertically oriented, and is machine-printed in black ink. At the top is the bookstore's name, "Bell's Books;" below, lines of text describe the store's specialties. Extending from the centre to the bottom of the bookmark, is an image of three daisy-like flowers. The bookstore's commercial information is printed at the very bottom.

A pencil drawing on a beige bookmark. The bookmark is vertically oriented. The front-side of the bookmark is a hand-drawn image of an aquatic scene. At the top are two heavily shaded wave-like shapes representing the waterline(?). Above the water is the top section of a boat stern; this section is coloured with light grey pencil, an unshaded band crosses the top right corner of the stern and a unshaded circle is drawn in the top right corner. Below the waterline is the remainder of the stern with a rudder; the stern(?) is shaded in with pencil except for the left edge which has an unshaded border, the rudder is unshaded, and a small unshaded circle is positioned above the rudder. Below is a large harpoon on a frayed rope. The border of the harpoon is unshaded, the interior is coloured light grey, and a polka dot covered shaft protrudes from the centre of the harpoon. Extending from the bottom right corner of the bookmark, and surrounding the harpoon, are long strands of sea kelp. At the very bottom of the drawing is the profile view of a human-like being's head. The human-like being's face is lightly shaded with pencil, the eyebrow ridge is coloured dark grey, and a rope-like headpiece sits atop of the being's hair. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in black ink. At the top, lines of text, describing the benefits and use of sweet grass, are printed. Below, the company name, "Sweet Grass," logo and phone numbers are printed.
