Black silk folding hand fan with painted bamboo ribs and ivory end pieces. Pink, red, gold and silver peacock feather designs are painted and stitched onto one side of the fan. A wristlet made from a thin white cord with a clear bead at one end is attached to the base of the fan.

A closing fan with nineteen inner ribs of ivory, interconnected with a white ribbon, and each having an elaborate carving of a lacey pattern with trees, human figures, and insects. The two parent ribs have a solid carving of either a floral design with birds or a landscape design with human figures. The fan has metal rivets.
