One 2-Z cordage fragment. Field notebook #1 describes AF-86 as Unit 3S3 Level 4, 49" from 4S2, 76" from 4S3. 05/12/2011 I. Ostericher
Plant fiber knotted cedar. Field Catalog Form indicates Unit 3S3-4, knotted cedar fibre, AF-108. Artifact Record #108 in the Field Notebook #1 reads "Sq. 3S3, surf d. 3rd level ("3rd" written in pen over original pencil)" No depth or provenience given, instead written is "square and depth are a guess, no measurments." In remarks, "Found on path beside pit. This is the probable pit and layer." Excavated by Warren 7/7/1953. 05/17/2011 I. Ostericher
A 2-Z cordage fragment. Field catalog form shows, "2-Z cordage, bone". Associated with AF- 80. AF-80 lists association as "bone included in artifact sack was found near to cordage - same depth." (Note: No associated bone located by the Burke staff on 04/05/2011. I. Ostericher)
