Mold seams include: circular post-bottom mold seam on base and two vertical seam molds extending up to within 1/2" of bottom of finish. Embossed Maker's Mark on side: (Image of cat/fox reaching down to "x") FOX TRADE MARK J. G. FOX & CO. SEATTLE, WASH. (Back side, just above heel) 8 - S A B CO Fragment missing from finish/neck of bottle. Chips missing from rim and heel of bottle. Bubbles present in glass. One white (milk) glass medical bottle/jar, likely contained ointment. Round base with wide-mouth interrupted external thread finish. Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle. Base is similar to crown oval and monarch or erie oval bases with three straight sides and one curved side connected with rounded corners. Mold seams include: horizontal cup-bottom mold seam at heel with two side seams extending up to finish. Dried substance and some iridescence inside. Seams indicate cup-bottom manufacture. Emopressed Maker's Mark (front): HALF PINT FULL MEASURE Maker's Mark (base): DESIGN PATENTED PAT. AUG.9.1898 Dark brown accretion on exterior base. Some brown discoloration on interior and exterior. Object is broken and held together with tape. L. Penttila 3/15/2010 Tape removed from bottle and cracks filled using Acryloid B-72 by Julie Dougherty, Burke Museum on 09/28/2010.

One small clear glass bottle with blake base and prescription finish. Embossing includes: (On base) W. T. CO C U. S. A (On front) SWIFT'S PHARMACY PRESCRIPTIONS 2ND AVE & PIKE STREET SEATTLE, WASH. Maker's Mark dates indicates production by Whitall Tatum Company in Millville, NJ (1901-1938). Two fragments missing from the corner of the base. Multiple cracks extending up roughly half of body. Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle. Iridescence on outside of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010
