Cup-shaped brass gong (part a) with a rounded bottom and two dragons and a crest design in slight relief around the top. Gong rests in a raised, five-legged wooden stand (parts b and c); stand is lacquered in red and gold. A stuffed ring-shaped cushion of brown and taupe-coloured, floral pattered fabric rests inside the top section of the stand (part c). Part d is a cylindrical hide-covered beater with a red lacquered wooden handle.

Indonesian slit gong or Kentongan drum made from carved wood into the shape of a figure with a cylindrical shape body, a flat bottom and a slightly protruding chest. The top has a bulbous head with incised eyes, nose, mouth and ears. There is black detailing for eyebrows, eyes and moustache. There are screws on each side of the head. Through the middle of the body is a large slit opening that leads to a hollow interior.

Round gong with two holes through which a cord is attached. Circular grooves radiate out from centre and cover face of gong. Indentations form a border around inner rim and result in border of bumps on surface. Walls are predominantly black with two gold lines.

Long, carved wooden gong, cylindrical in shape with two protruding handles at both ends. The sides are carved in relief with a stylized geometric design that has triangular detailing. The handles have a bird-like figure with a long beak and forehead; two cylindrical shaped arm-like structures run along its side. Underneath is a semi-circular piece of wood detailed with a geometric design the runs from the top of the figures head to the side of the drum. Drum is slit at top from one end to the other; covered with a thin layer of red ochre.

Indonesian slit gong or Kentongan wood drum carved in the shape of a dragon-like figure with a cylindrical shape body and a flat bottom. The top has five triangular protrusions with an incised dragon head detailed with ears ?, spikes, large protruding eyes, incised nose and a central flower motif. Through the middle of the body is a large slit opening that leads to a hollow interior; opening is in the shape of the creature’s mouth with teeth the entire length. The body of the drum is the body of the dragon carved in relief with scales and claws. There is a hole drilled through the head for hanging.

The top is slightly rounded with an incised dragon head detailed with ears, large protruding eyes, flat nose with incised nostrils and a large mouth with two sets of teeth. Through the middle of the body is a large slit opening that leads to a hollow interior; opening is outlined in scales. The body of the drum is the body of the dragon carved in relief with various other dragon-like creatures; two have protruding tongues. There is a hole drilled through the head for hanging.
