Stone tool is made from quartzite and is ground. Stone tool is also burned from a house fire that occured in the 1950s and is also cracked in several places. (S. Iles 5/5/2004)

Groundstone tool is made out of steatite and is a fragment. Original bag stated: "Columbia River," "Cordus Junction," "surface site," "along river," and "6/21/61." (S. Iles, 4/27/2004) Robert Greengo identified that "Cordiss Junction is (was) probably a point on the Burlington Northern railroad that runs from Wenatchee to the east, very near Crescent Bar and Trinidad," WA. Groundstone tool is made out of basalt and is ground. It is long and thin and is beveled on each side. One side has a flatter bevel point than the other. One side has a square of white label or tape residue on it near the base. (S.Iles 3/30/2004)
This artifact is a slate groundstone tool. Battering on either end may be use-damage. Exhibited at Southwest Historical Society (2000-2001). See Loan #116. At the time of the loan this object had not been cataloged and was temporarily numbered 45KI51/8. C.Foster 11/26/01
