Feathered headband consisting of a narrow net-like foundation made of twine with ties at each end. Worked into the net are numerous small red, yellow, orange and black feathers. At one end is a long flexible "rope" of iridescent green beetle wing covers.
Headband made of cedar bark, bound together with black string and covered with red cloth. A bundle of bark is bound at either of the longer sides. Red and yellow dotted blue cloth patch is on the inner side.

White-yellow rectangular strip of fabric. A cardboard label is attached to one end by a fibre cord that is looped through a metal grommet. One side of the label has a handwritten inscription that reads "Hachimuki," and on the other side, there is a large number "2" printed in bold in the centre and Japanese characters underneath.
