Large “V”-shaped halibut hook made of two pieces of wood. Arms are tied together with fibre cording at the angled end. Longer piece is thin and straight, thicker piece has a triangular head and an iron barb tied to its other end. Barb faces inwards and is at an acute angle. Wooden wedge tied to thicker arm with fishing twine. Twine is long, fraying and white-grey. The thin arm of the hook is carved into an otter-like figure, with a hole through its middle. A thick and braided piece of fibre cording, with a knotted loop end, is strung through the hole.

Disassembled halibut hook made of wood. Thin arm of hook (part a) is carved into a bird figure at its top, has a rectangular shaft and conical bottom. Cone is carved in high relief. Entire arm has a flat back. The bird figure has large circular eyes, a long beak pointing down the body, wide legs and feather designs incised on its wings. There is a hole through the middle of the bird, just above the fork of its legs. A thick and braided piece of fibre cording, with a knotted loop end, is strung through the hole. Wood is brown-yellow, cord is beige. Thick arm of hook (part b) has a triangular head with a wide, rectangular groove in its centre. Groove was likely where the arms would have been tied together. Bottom of arm is slightly angled. Wood is brown-red. Iron barb is missing.

Large barbed turtle shell hook on short twisted cord. The cord is tied around the end of the hook and held in place by a small metal tie.

V-shaped fish hook carved from wood. Wooden spike set at an acute angle to arm, possibly a separate piece that has been attached, with section of woven fibre wrapped around arm and bound by loosely plaited coconut husk fibre. A long plaited coconut husk cord (110cm) is bound to the end of the other arm. A small section of blue and grey striped fabric is wrapped around the arm under the binding. (Both arms have labels adhered to them, one with the collector's initials.)
