Métis Soup3389/1 a-t

Set of 20 can-shaped ceramics (parts a-t), painted to imitate Campbell's soup cans. Some are named with traditional Campbell's names, while some are Cree inspired flavours. Each 'label' also gives the Cree language translation of the flavour in the upper section, and "Naboob" is written at the bottom of each can (the Ojibwa word for soup/stew). The cans are labelled: (part a) Kisti' Kânis / Vegetable; (part b) Wâpoos / Rabbit; (part c) Atihkowiyâs / Caribou Meat; (part d) Misi'hew / Turkey; (part e) Âhkosê' pet / Hangover; (part f) Sikotîyikun / Hamburger; (part g) Kihcôkiniy / Tomato; (part h) Mooso' kot / Moose Nose; (part i) Iotasahkêw Mohtêwiyâs / Indian Agent Maggoty Meat; (part j) Mistam' Ekos / Salmon; (part k) Papahâh Kwân / Chicken; (part l) Mostos Wiyâs / Beef; (part m) Askipwâwi / Potato; (part n) Oskan / Bone; (part o) Muskwa Wiyâs / Bear; (part p) Âmisk Wiyâs / Beaver; (part q) Sosâ' Siw Unawîy / Salmon Cheek; (part r) Okês' Kwew / Spring Chicken; (part s) Miskin' Âhk / Turtle; (part t) Osâw'puk / Pumpkin.

Earth Still3099/46 a-q

Seventeen piece ceramic installation in earth colours. When arranged for display (left to right) the pieces are as follows: small grey mixing dish with a pouring lip; cream coloured flask with a wide base, narrow neck, and red stopper; tall brown flask with a long thin neck and round body; two-toned cream and grey crucible with a celadon lid; tall, round, brown bottle and stopper; in front is a long spouted red-brown vessel; dark red goblet with a flat base and sharp pouring lip; behind both is a taller thin necked flask in yellow; flat, rounded, rectangular grey medicine bottle; thin necked, grey flask; and lastly, a heavy bottomed grey mortar and pestle. Maker's mark stamped on base of bowls and large bottle.

Bone Box2696/1 a-l

Manga mural using old plywood trays that have been painted and mounted as a rectangular 12-panel installation piece. The panels are installed as four vertical rows and three horizontal rows (top, left to right: parts a-d, middle parts e-h, bottom parts i-l). Each panel is installed to swivel from a vertical to horizontal position and when viewed horizontally each panel reveals a word on its top edge. When read in order the words form the sentence: "A STACK OF PLYWOOD TRAYS BUILT TO CONTAIN FRAGMENTS OF EVERYONE'S CULTURE".
