Horizontal striations indicate it was turn molded. Some black discoloration in upper bulb appears to be related to use. Brass is corroding, especially within threads. L. Penttila 3/15/2010

4. Spruce Root Covered Light Bulb Tlingit Many different types of objects were covered with basketry and sold to tourists. Here are several unusual basketry covered items: an abalone shell, a sea urchin shell, and a light bulb that would never have fit into a socket!
