This is a collection of unmodified plant material. This was probably excavated in 1987.

One unmodified plant fragement. Excavation bag stated, "possible cedar fibers."

Object originally unlabeled. Item matches Basketry Card 39 well and that card had no mate in collection. Twelve rush fragments, and two cedar wood fragments, found in a bag marked "45-KI-7 pit 2 cordage-matting etc. 7/21/54 AM Reece" This material is from Shelter 7A in Whiskey Dick Creek. According to Swanson (1956, 1962), one pit (pit #1) was excavated. This material, from pit #2, was never mentioned in any notes or reports. There were no human remains found in this bag when it was located at the Burke Museum in 1995. It was, therefore, not considered grave goods. E. Scharf 7/31/95

Tray 1E8; red and brown concretion with woven material embedded.

Nine mounted and labelled samples on an off-white card (part b) in a labelled folder of the same material (part a). Six rectangular samples of three kinds of bark used in Japanese handmade paper; three samples include both brown outer and inner bark; three are inner bark only, lightest in centre. Remaining three samples are a small square of yellow-white parchment; a larger square of light brown pounded mulberry; and a rectangular sample of light brown pattra inscribed with black cursive writing.
