Six varying lengths of bamboo, from which the nodes have been removed, are inserted into a hole in one side of gourd and sealed with resin. These are tied around in a bundle with a woven band and a fibre loop to keep them from collapsing. Stem of the gourd serves as the mouth tube of the instrument.

A large object (part a) with a long wood band across two-thirds of the way down a wood arched frame. Above the long wood band, there are fourteen flat rectangular wood pieces lying perpendicular to the long wood band but parallel in association with each other and tied together with skin and string. Below the long wood band, there are ten gourds decreasing in size all in a row. (Gourds and plaques tied and resinated together.) There are two sticks (parts b-c). The largest gourd (part d) is loose.
