Clay ocarina in the shape of a bird. A thick, flat tail serves at the mouthpiece, with a windway that opens into a windcutter on the underside. Short wings are attached to a round body with two pitch holes bored into the chest. A small oblong head with a pointed beak sits on top of a curved neck with a hole bored horizontally though. On the underside are two rounded stubs that balance the bird and allow it to sit upright. The back and wings are decorated with curved lines of brown and orange pigment.
Clay ocarina is composed of two nearly identical sides connected at top and bottom with a thin neck of clay. Each side has a long neck with a wider body, topped by a protruding nub. A wide incision at the mouth separates airflow into two chambers (windways), and each side of the instrument has its own windcutter beneath. Each also has a single pitch hole at the opposite end from the mouthpiece. The top of the ocarina is decorated with orange and dark brown pigment in circles and lines. The bottom is undecorated and two tiny nubs serve as legs.
Clay ocarina. The squat, bulbous body is topped by a conical protrusion which contains a diagonally bored hole (windway), beneath which is a large opening (windcutter) into the hollow body of the instrument. A smaller cone is situated on the bottom of the ocarina, also with a hole bored from the top into the body. Three small perforations sit on the surface of the object but do not pierce through. The ocarina is decorated with dark brown and orange pigments in symmetrical line patterns.
Clay ocarina in the shape of an animal. The rounded body of the instrument has a protruding face with a round nose and large eyes set high on the head. The mouth and a large hole under the chin (the windcutter) both open into the hollow chamber of the body. On the back of the creature is a narrow bump with a hole bored through, possibly a necklace ring, and behind this are four pitch holes. The creature has four coil legs that curl slightly on the torso and become small feet that somewhat support the ocarina.
Clay ocarina has a rounded, bulbous body, with the mouthpiece set low and containing a windway with a windcutter below. The instrument has two conical legs, above which emerges a figure with protruding arms, head and face. Below the chin is a thick rounded curve, decorated with a slightly protruding and incised coil of clay, that serves as a necklace ring. On the top of the instrument four pitch holes have been bored through to the ocarina’s hollow inner chamber. The instrument is decorated across the top with incised lines and circles.
Clay ocarina. The instrument is irregular in shape, with three round, connected globes, beneath which is a group of coils. Two of the globes have two pitch holes each, one on either side, while the third has a larger round opening with a thick rim. Amongst the coils are more openings, some of which lead into the ocarina’s hollow interior, which has multiple connected chambers.
Clay ocarina. A long mouthpiece with windway and windcutter widens into a round body with a small oblong outcropping on each side and an elaborate necklace ring at the top back. Four pitch holes are bored into the top of the ocarina through to its hollow centre. The top and back are decorated with incised patterns of lines, dots and triangles. The instrument stands on three conical legs.
Small, clay ocarina. The body is bulbous and oblong, with a long mouthpiece extending horizontally and containing a windway that opens on a windcutter bored into the body just above. On top of the instrument is a projection containing a necklace hole. The rear of the object protrudes and contains a pitch hole, with two pitch holes found on the bottom as well, one with a thick rim.
Clay ocarina. The body of the instrument is oblong with slightly curving sides and a protruding mouthpiece attached to one end, along with three triangular projections, two of which contain necklace holes. Through the mouthpiece is bored a windway that opens into a windcutter on the top of the ocarina. At the opposite end is a rimmed hole bored into the instrument’s hollow body, as well as two more pitch holes on the underside. Much of the instrument is decorated with encircling incised lines and dots.
Clay ocarina in the shape of a bird. The body is bulbous with two thick wings protruding to either side. A round head has indented round eyes and a small triangular beak, with two holes bored into the neck. The thick tail serves as a mouthpiece with a windway opening on a windcutter bored into the body on the underside. Two pitch holes are bored into the chest and one round foot is located on the bottom of the body. The other foot has been broken off. The bird is decorated with brown and orange pigment on the back, chest and head.
