Design consists of a black ovoid in tapering oval eye in ovoid with a split u at either side; a pair of black u forms and a pair of u black forms below; a four digit claw-like feature with an ovoid in ovoid behind; a black panel at the base of the paddle; and a black split u at the tip of the blade.

The main creature has a black oval in white tapering oval eye surrounded by a red-outlined ovoid, an open red mouth showing ten white teeth, and a red and black dorsal ? fin behind. The creature in the main creature's mouth has a black circle in white tapering oval eye with a red crescent line behind, a black nose, and an open red mouth showing multiple white teeth. A black diamond shape is at the tip of the blade. The back has three black diagonal lines across the blade with 'Port Simpson . B.C.' written in black along the handle. The handle has a horizontal cylindrical finial.
