Three rings decorate the wrist, the top of which is embellished with diagonal lines, the second is plain, and the third is decorated with a horizontal line. Beneath the bracelets is a medallion attached to the pin by a short link chain. On one side of the medallion is a standing figure holding a staff, encircled by the words “firme y feliz por la union” and on the other side, a shield surrounded by branches and a leafy crown, and the words “Rep Peruana M 10D 20G M B 1855” . The pin itself is long, curves down slightly, and tapers to a thin point.
