Totem Pole1922.1068

Carved wooden totem pole with three creatures, a bear, a raven (?) with the sun or moon in its beak, and a humanoid with face painting. The pole is painted with red, green, blue and black , with the reverse and base being totally painted green. The pole is very similar in style to 22.1067 suggesting they are same carver' s work.; Good

Totem Pole1922.1067

Carved wooden totem pole bearing five creatures which include an owl, a beaver and a bear. The other creatures are not readily identifiable. The totem pole is painted with red, blue, green and black which accentuates the carved details. It is a totem pole typical of those carved for sale in the 1920' s and 30' s, indeed it has $4.00 price penciled on its back.The totem pole is mounted on a blue platform so it stands upright very easily.; Good
