Pot2847/89

Small ceramic pot, light orange in colour. The pot is tall with straight sides and a sharp shoulder, leading to a neck that narrows slightly toward the lip. A small handle spans from lip to shoulder. The body is decorated with three large vertical indentations that can be felt on the interior. On the shoulder across from the handle is a small animal head, triangular, incised on either side of a small snout, with circular indentations for eyes. Dark brown accretions cling to the inside neck of the pot as well as down one side. The base of the pot is quite flat.

Small ceramic pot, burnished orange. The body is bulbous and squat, somewhat uneven in construction. The neck is relatively long and straight, undecorated. Two similar faces protrude slightly from the pot’s body, one larger than the other, each with a large square nose, large eyes, and a slightly open mouth.

Small ceramic pot, orange in colour, with a long straight body and a sharp shoulder continuing up to a short, slightly flared neck. A small handle is attached from rim to shoulder, decorated with a vertical line of circular perforations. On the front of the pot is a small triangular animal head with indented eyes and mouth. The pot stands on three short triangular legs, curved slightly outward, that narrow toward the bottom.

Small ceramic pot has a squat, bulbous body and a short neck with a flared rim. The rim connects to a wide handle at the top rear which attaches to the body at the mid-way point. The bottom of the pot is rounded and rocks slightly on a flat surface. On the front of the pot is an protruding form in clay of a small front facing lizard-like creature with large round eyes, an open mouth, thin body, and four round feet.

Small ceramic pot has a flaring rim and a recessed neck, where it flares out to the midway point of the body, then recedes at a sharp angle to a rounded bottom. The pot is marked on the shoulder and body with several unevenly spaced dark lines that could be drips, three of which end at the pot’s bottom point. A small chip has been taken out of the rim.

Round ceramic pot. A wide mouth is surrounded by a flaring rim that narrows to a straight sided body and a rounded bottom. The pot sits on three curved, conical legs. Construction lines are visible in the clay, especially around the base of the legs. The pot is otherwise undecorated.

Ceramic pot. The rim is flared and decorated on the outside with incised lines and triangles. The neck is long and widens slightly toward a bulbous body, also decorated with incised lines and crosses. A small animal head, possibly a turtle(?), protrudes out of the shoulder. It has large round eyes, a beaked nose, and an open mouth. The creature has small knob of a tail that protrudes from the opposite side of the pot. The circular foot of the pot recedes from the body and is indented at bottom.

Clay pot with a widely flaring, dark red rim around a large mouth, narrowing to an indented neck above a bulbous body. Immediately above the pot’s rimmed midpoint are three round animal faces, evenly spaced, with open mouths and indentations for eyes. The pot’s body from midpoint to neck has been painted white. It sits on a small round base.

Round clay pot. The body is deep, with a wide mouth narrowing to a rounded bottom. Three conical legs with prominent, round shoulders support the pot, and taper to a small tip at the bottom. Two holes pierce each leg, and when the object is moved, a soft rattling sound is emitted. The pot is painted orange with dark brown lines encircling the interior and the legs, with large patches of the colour covering the bottom and the inside of the legs.

Round ceramic pot with three legs. Below a wide, flared rim, the exterior body of the pot angles in slightly until a sharp angle three quarters of the way down, where the bottom recedes in a gentle curve. The legs of the pot are globular with small protrusions for feet. The interior of the pot is smooth and undecorated.
