Two lower birds are joined at the tail. The bird on the left has a pointed beak and black band down middle of body which continues to other bird's back. Owl on CairnNa760

Print depicting an owl with stylized feathers on its body, and outstretched wings with a zigzag design. The owl is standing on a cairn composed of eight brown, green and black mottled stones. Two small black birds flank the bottom of the cairn. The base of the cairn is surrounded by blue water. Below the image an inscription reads, "Owl on Cairn," "Pitseolak 35/50 Dorset 1972." The names of the artist and printmaker are printed in Inuit syllabics at the upper left-hand corner along with a stylized 'red igloo' of the Cape Dorset Co-operative.
