Woman’s large embroidered shawl made from greenish black cotton textile, embellished with horizontal rows of red and off-white (or pale yellow) finely embroidered geometric designs worked in silk floss. Rectangular in shape and worn over the head with the wide dimension encircling the wearer; the top two corners are turned back and tacked down to the body of the shawl, where there are large clusters of red broken threads on each side where large ornaments may have once been attached. There is a dense row of bright red, white and blue glass beads and red silk tassels that extends from the edge of one turn-back to the other, at about 32 centimetres from the top of the shawl. The piece has a densely embroidered border and the sides and bottom are edged with a narrow brass(?) chain. The textile is pieced in places.

A brightly coloured square shawl finished on all four sides with a knotted multi-coloured self-fringe. The woven motif is consisting of large blocks of colour containing designs of flowers and birds in jacquard weave. From each corner, there is a bright orange-red flower that has swirling symmetrical flora at each side and which ends with a fleur-de-lis-like tip pointing toward the centre on a light orange-red background. Bordered by four bands, each of which has three peacocks in a circle connected by swirling flora. Opposite bands are the same colours of either purple on a green or birght orange-red on purple. Corners of the bands have a purple flower on dark blue. Edges are light orange-red.

A woman's large square shawl of finely woven light brown wool, edged with wide (15.5 cm) bands of bias-cut, embroidered, pale beige silk textile and ribbon with multi-coloured floral and geometric designs of predominently red and green. The design is face-up on two adjacent sides and face-down on the other two adjacent sides, so that when the shawl is folded to form a triangle, the designs appear on the same side. Light brown silk fringe on all sides.

Woman’s rectangular, embroidered shawl (headcloth). Made of brown, coarsely-woven cotton textile, embroidered over-all with brightly coloured, regularly spaced, squares that are arranged in 6 vertical rows of 12 each. The squares have stylized floral and leaf shapes in them, differing slightly in their predominance of 4 colours: orange, bright pink, light green and white; worked with a surface or “false” satin stitch. Border design of triangles at the ends, and borders of leaf motifs on the sides, which are finished with blanket stitch. The piece is constructed from three sections which were sewn together before the embroidery was worked.
