Buckskin shirt with quill work and fringe. The shirt has a short standing collar, long cuffed sleeves and partial centre opening with hook and eye closures. On the front is a deep ‘U’ shape around the neck in light blue fabric and white beads. Tunic-like painted shirt made from cotton fabric. The shirt is made from a rectangle of cotton folded in half, machine-stitched along the edges to make side seams, leaving 25 cm unsewn for the armholes; 6 cm fringes cut horizontally along the seams. The neck is cut out of the centre of the cloth, with a hand-stitched seam. The main crest on the front represents a double-headed raven with outspread wings painted mainly in black with dark red and pale yellow highlights. The top of the back panel is painted with a creature's face in red and black.
Long cream cotton shirt with embroidery. The shirt has a small standing collar, deep v-neck opening, long sleeves and flared bottom half. The panels of embroidery cover the collar, v-neck opening, sleeve ends and bottom hem. The panels have a geometric design in red-orange, black and off-white, worked with tightly twisted wool thread. Some of the embroidery around the front opening has been removed; at one time there was a tuck around the waist and sleeves, to shorten the garment, and traces of hand stitching remain. All seams are hand-sewn. The inner collar and sleeve edges are lined with red cotton; the rest is unlined.
