Fide donor GTE: Stock piece of a bluish green color showing where a section has been cut and wedged off, and where a cutting groove has been commenced. Dug up on an old living site near Stein Creek where it empties into the Fraser River, about six miles above Lytton, B.C.

One nephrite adze core. A piece of tape is adhered on one side. An old label is adhered on same side. L. St. Kitts 5/14/2009 Led: Boulder of rimmed and mottled light green. Fide donor GTE: Water worn boulder of a light green veined and mottled with a darker green. It shows three grooves where cutting has been commenced for the separation of sections for the makeing of implements. From near Lytton, B.C.

One nephrite adze core. L. St. Kitts 5/14/2009 Led: Section of bright green jade, 6 miles above Lytton, B.C. Fide donor GTE: Large flat section of bright green jade showing two cutting grooves and a broken side the length of one of the narrower faces. Found on an old living site at the mouth of Stein Creek, emptying into the Fraser River about six miles above Lytton. Green nephrite or jade oblong cobble; flat with rought major surfaces. All peripheral surfaces are smoothed (three are assumed to be smoothed by natural processes; the fourth has two saw marks running the length of the object, with a strip of rought surface in between).

One nephrite adze core. L. St. Kitts 05/14/2009 Led: Stock piece of translucent green jade. Found on Fraser River 10 miles above Lytton, B.C. Fide donor GTE: A stock piece of jade of a translucent green veined with a darker green. It has been worked smooth on both broader faces, and on one side shows a shallow groove, broken about. It was found on the site of an old living place on a plateau or bench on the north bank of the Frazer River [sic] ten miles above the mouth of the Thompson River, British Columbia.

Stock piece of light green jade. Fraser River above Lytton, B.C.* Fide donor GTE: Stock piece of jade found on an old village site on the north bank of the Frazer River [sic] above Lytton, British Columbia, where Stein Creek joins the Frazer River [sic]. It shows where two sections have been cut and wedged off. It is of a light green jade veined with a yellowish green. It shows evidence of having been a water worn boulder. Artifact was returned to the Burke Museum by Cindy Farr (Washington State Parks) on 12/2/2004. It had been on loan to WSPRC since the 1960s and was displayed in Sacajewa State Park interpretive center. SWD 12/6/2004 *Information is from the original accession ledger.
